18 X7503196706 © 09/2013 ECHO Inc. OPERATION CS-450 Mixing Instructions 1. Fill an approv ed fuel container with half of the required amount of gasoline. 2. Add the proper amount of 2-strok e oil to gasoline . 3. Close container and shak e to mix oil with gasoline.

Always stop engine, disconnect spark plug, and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop befo re removing obstructions, clearing debris, or servicing un it.

Mov e ignition s witch (A) down to “stop” position. Note: If engine does not stop , pull choke control knob ou t fully to stop engine.

Should the tip co ntact a limb or log while the chain is moving, the tip will be p ushed upward with considerable force.
24 X7503196706 © 09/2013 ECHO Inc. OPERATION CS-450 Begin the cut on the side to which the tree is to f all. Cut a notch about 1/3 of the w ay into th e tree. The position of this notch is impor tant since the tree will try to fall “into ” the notch.

Use of replacement saw chain and/o r guide bar other than that specified, or operation without the “tip guard” in place, may cause severe kickback resulting in serious injury.
