6 7 Deutsch Deutsch Schieben Sie den Schalthebel in Richtung „AN“. Zur Bestätigung leuchtet die Status-LED grün. Die Festplatte ist bei Auslief erung bereits im NTFS- Dateisystem vorf ormatiert.
8 9 Deutsch Deutsch - Wählen Sie mit der Maus die externe F est- platte aus und öffnen Sie mit der rechten Maustaste das Konte xtmenü. - Um die F estplatte zu formatieren, wählen Sie den Menüpunkt „Formatieren“. Hinweis: Alle Daten werden unwiderruflich gelöscht und können nach der F ormatierung nicht wiederhergestellt werden.
10 11 Deutsch Deutsch - T ragen Sie die ge wünschte Größe der P artition in MB ein und klicken Sie dann auf „W eiter“. - Sie können der Partition einen Laufwerksbuch- staben zuweisen.
12 13 Deutsch Deutsch - Wählen Sie das gewünschte Dateisystem, die Art der Formatierung und klicken Sie auf „Weiter“. - Die P artitionierung wird abgeschlossen, bestätigen Sie diesen V organg indem Sie auf „Fertig stellen“ klick en. Hinweis: Der neu partitionierte Bereich wird nun for- matiert.

16 17 Deutsch Deutsch Es besteht die Möglichkeit, die Festplatte in mehrere P artitionen zu teilen. Die dazu nötige Vor - gehensweise wird Ihnen hier auf der Basis v on Y aST von Suse Linux beschrieben. Dieser V organg ist unter anderen Linux Distributionen ähnlich.
18 19 Deutsch Deutsch - Sie werden v om System gefragt, ob Sie die P artition wirklich löschen w ollen. V ergewissern Sie sich an diesem Punkt, dass Sie die richtige P artition ausge wählt haben und bestätigen Sie mit dem Klick auf „Ja”.
