3 099156 SAFETY INFORMA TION Continued ! W ARNINGS Continued Propane Gas: Propane gas is odorless. An odor-making agent is added to propane gas. The odor helps you detect a propane gas leak. However, the odor added to propane gas can fade. Propane gas may be present even though no odor exists.

5 099156 PROP ANE SUPPL Y You must provide propane gas and propane tank(s). Use this heater only with a propane vapor withdrawal supply system. See Chapter 5 of the Standard for Storage and Handling of Liquified Petroleum Gas, ANSI/NFPA 58. Your local library or fire department will have this booklet.
6 099156 4. Open propane supply valve on propane tank(s) slowly. Note: If not opened slowly, excess-flow check valve on propane tank will stop gas flow.

8 099156 5. If pilot light goes out, repeat step 4. 6. When pilot remains lit, fully open main burner valve. Do this by turning main burner valve handle towards the ON position until it stops. Note: Arrows on main burner valve handle show directions for ON and OFF.
9 099156 SYMPTOM Pilot fails to light. Pilot lights but goes out when automatic control valve button is released. Burn rate is low. POSSIBLE CAUSE 1. Propane supply valve closed on propane tank(s). 2. Excess-flow check valve closed. 3. Air in gas line.
