3 SAFETY INFORMA TION Read , understand , and follo w all safety information contained in these instructions prior to installation and use of the 3M ™ Anti-F atigue Mats 9900 Series.
4 T o reduce the risk associated with hazardous voltage due to 3M ™ Anti-F atigue Mats 9900 Series being used in areas requiring insulating type matting: • Anti-Fatigue Mats are electrically conductive – do not use these mats in areas with possible exposure to high voltage.
5 1.0 Installation of 3M ™ Anti-Fatigue Mats 9900 and 9920 1. Pre-clean the floor area where the mat is to be installed. 2. Place mat into desired location.
6 2.0 Installation and Assembly of 3M ™ Anti-Fatigue Mat Runner 9910 1. Pre-clean the floor area where the mat runner is to be installed. 2. Before assembling the runner, la y out each mat section in the appropriate sequence. Sequence numbers can be found on the back of each section along the molded rubber edge.
7 4. Kneel or squat on the first section of the 3M ™ Anti-F atigue Mat Runner 9910 Series with the connector tabs in front of you and pull the ne xt runner section tow ards y ou until its edges aligns with the edge of the first runner section. (Figure 5) 5.
8 3.0 Optional Per manent Bonding of Runner Sections with Adhesive Note: P ermanent adhering of the runner sections together with an adhesive may cr eate a continuous runner that is very heavy and difficult to move or r eposition.
9 4. As necessar y , apply localized pressure to close the adhered seam of the 3M ™ Anti-F atigue Mat Runner 9910 Series. It ma y be necessary to hold pressure for 10-15 seconds until the adhesi ve bonds the tw o pieces. (Figures 6 & 7) 5. The bev eled edges of the seam are adhered separately .
10 4.0 Cleaning Guidelines Note: 3M™ Anti-F atigue Mats 9900 Series are constructed of dur able SBR rubber that can be easil y cleaned with the r ecommended cleaner and techniques belo w . Clean mats as needed. The follo wing r ecommendations are pr ovided to pr olong the life of your mat pr oduct: 1.
11 • F or small mat areas apply the cleaner with a trigger spra y bottle. Scr ub and remo ve excess liquid from the mat surface with a dampened sponge or lint- free cloth. • F or larger mat areas appl y the cleaner with a mop and bucket. T o reduce film build-up change out the cleaning solution frequently .
