TL-2000 Basic set up inst ructions for Installer Install program from CD. Refer to page 6. Run program and cho o se Supe rvisor from the start up screen. Default password is “super”. Refer to page 6. Select Installatio n from the general menu, and click on the ne w icon.
Installation Install the TL-2 000 installati on program from the provided C D. Open the TL -2000 program. Once open choose one of the th ree available user types. Supervisor – Allows for full access of all aspects of the program, incl uding th e ab ility to change the pa rameters of the size of the system.
Installations Screen: At the top of the menu there are icons that allow you to create a new installati on, open an existi ng installation, or copy and delete existing insta llations. In addition there are icons that allow you to import and expo rt da ta from TL-2000 entry panel s.
Details of Installation Screen: Upon clicking OK on the new insta llation window or opening an existing instal lation, the Details of Inst allation screen will be displayed.
Configuration of Installation Sc reen cont.: I N M JK L O I) Comms Time , allows you to adjust the time that a panel can rema in in communication. Th e call will termi nate after the time has expired. (min 10, max 300 seconds) Keypad Erro rs sets the maximum number of times an incorrect code can be attempted before the entry panel shuts dow n.
Period Types: Period Types allow you to change the access parameters based on a time schedu le . The TL-2000 has 5 differe nt periods that can be scheduled, Group A, B, C, D, and Door Panel. A perio d typ e is a 7 d ay week schedule, with 1 time zone, 2 time zones, or a co mbination of bo th.
Period Types (continued): Select the Door Panel tab. J K L J) Operation Mode , allows you to choose between the different mode s available. Active Periods are the times betw een Open and Close during Perio d 1 and Period 2.
Screens & Keypad Parameters: Click on Parameters Click on Screens & Keypad A) Backlight Activation , b rightens the display screen betw een the start and end times set. When installed in a bright area, you may want to adjust t he time so that it is off during daylight h ours.
Messages (Continued): Message # Pre-recor ded Message Event Type Message 1: “Please wait, your call is in progress” Each time a call is made. Message 2: “Your correspondent can not be reached at this time. Please try again.” When a visitor presses the bell button to call a resident outside of Periods 1 & 2.
Caretaker: Click on Parameters Click on Caretaker Enter the Caretaker informati on if applicable . If Caretaker needs to be accesse d by th e entry panel, check the “ Is a Resident ” box. When the “ Is a Resident ” box is checked, the Caretaker Details window will op en.
Managing Agent: Click on Parameters Click on Managing Agent Click on the Add Managing Ag t . button to open a ne w window that will allow you to ente r in the Managing Agent’s informati on . Click on the Persons button to open a new window tha t will allo w you to enter in contacts for the managing agent.
Click on Parameters Click on Call-Buttons Call-Buttons: Up to 6 call buttons can be adde d to the entry pane l for quick reference. Check th e bo xes for the appropriate call buttons you will be add ing to JP2 (refer to pg.3) Press Duration is the time the button must be pressed before the panel launches the call.

Residents and Access (Continued): The residents and all of their details will be displayed on this screen. Use the scroll bar to move through th e listing.

Call Log: Click on Residents Click on Call Log The Call Log screen displays the quality and duration of calls made t o each residen t in the building. You have the choice of saving the Call Log data in Excel or Word formats. Screens: Click on Screens The standard Defaut.
Software: Click on Software The Program in the panel box details the version of software that is being used and allows you to select di fferent versions to use.
Downloading / Updating PC: Uploading / Updating Panel: Pg. 22 The programming information mu st be sent (uploaded) to t he Panel to take effect. Click on Parameters to uplo ad all settings and configurations programmed in all of the Parameter sub-menus and sections.
General Information: Click on Installation Click on General The Installation window will display. This screen will display all of the general installation informatio n for the pa rticular job / installation you are logg ed into. Keypad codes: Click on Installation Click on Keypad codes The Keypad code list window will display.
Printing: Click on Print The Printing window wi ll di splay Select Preview to preview the d ocument and choose the program you wou ld li ke to save the file to (Word, Excel, HTML, PDF). Select Print to ha ve th e do cume nt sent directly to your printer for a hard copy.
Help: Click on the Question Mark (?) This will open an HT MP Help window. You can use this help window for assistance on h ow to program the different features of the TL-2000 pa nel.
Update Menu – G eneral Sc reen: Click on Update Click on Summer/Winter Clock Chang e The Clocks Chan ge window will display. Enter the date when Daylight Savings Time be gins. Enter the date when Daylight Savings Time en ds. Click Update Database to update the pro gram o n th e PC with the dates entered.
Update Menu – General Screen (Continued): Click on Update Click on Update In stalla tion Company Keypad Code The Update Installation Co mp any Keypad Cod e win dow will d isplay. Click Update D atabase to upda te the program on the PC with the code entered.
Update Menu – General Screen (Continued): Click on Update Click on Change Passcodes The Update of Pass c ode window will display. Select the approp r ia te inst al l ati o n as exp la i ne d on page 25. Click on the relevant cell in the New Passcode column and ender the new 4 digi t Passcode number.
Options Menu – General Screen: Click on Options then Password Click on the level for which you wish to change the password . The Change Password screen wil l display Enter the existing password for th e level you have chosen, then type the new password and retyp e it to confirm.
