8 1.0 INTRODUCTION Congratulations with your new DALI IKON MK2 loudspeaker . It is important to us that your new DALI loudspeakers are set up and connected optimally . F or this reason, we recommend that you read this manual and follow its instructions (This manual only refers to the new IKON MK2 series).
9 UK DE DK 3.1 D ALI IKON 5, 6, 7 The speakers are designed to stand on the floor , using spikes or rubber bumpers under the speakers, (see Figure 3+4). Be careful not to over tighten the contra nuts. Spikes or rubber bumpers can improve the sound quality .
10 3.5 D ALI IKON ON-WALL DALI IKON ON-WALL is designed exc lusively for wall-mounting. The front baffle is tilted for optimal angling relative to the listening position.
11 UK DE DK NOTE: When bi-wiring or bi-amping, AL WA YS remove the metal jumpers between the terminals before connecting cables (see figure 9C + 9D). For bi-wiring, connect two sets of loudspeaker cables, one to the top terminals and one to the bottom terminals of the speakers.
12 8.0 POWER AND ACOUSTIC PRESSURE How loud a speaker is able to play and still sound good is completely dependent on the signal it has to reproduce. So, in practice, it is not possible to define an unequivocal level for use in comparing different speakers.
13 UK DE DK 9.3 STEREO CONNECTIONS If you want to use DALI IKON SUB in a stereo setup, your stereo (pre-) amplifier/receiver should have either a set of stereo RCA line outputs or a mono RCA line output available (please refer to the instruction manual of your stereo (pre-)amplifier/receiver).
14 9.6 INST ALLING AND ADJUSTING Start by checking that the voltage of your mains output corresponds to the indica tion on the back of your DALI IKON SUB. WARNING: If the wrong voltage is supplied there is a serious risk that the electronics of the subwoofer will suffer permanent damage.
15 UK DE DK 9.7 VOLUME ADJUSTMENT On the rear of the subwoofer you can increase or reduce the volume by turning the VOLUME control clockwise or counter c lockwise. The volume should be adjusted so that the bass matches the level of your main speakers.
16 9.9 POWER The POWER switch is the main ON/OFF switch. W e recommend switching OFF the subwoofer when it is not to be used for extended periods. When the POWER switch is set to OFF there will still be voltage inside the subwoofer .
17 UK DE DK H) FUSE compartment: If the subwoofer fails to power up when connected to the mains and the POWER switch is set to ON, the fuse may have blown or be faulty . Replace the fuse with the same type as originally supplied – see fuse type on the amplifier back plate.

20 1.0 EINLEITUNG Herzlichen Glückwunsch zu Ihrem neuen DALI IKON MK2 Lautsprecher . Es ist uns wichtig, dass Ihre neuen DALI Lautsprecher optimal aufgestellt und angeschlossen warden (Diese Bedienungsanleitung bezieht sich ausschliesslich auf die neue IKON MK2 Serie).
21 UK DE DK 3.1 D ALI IKON 5, 6, 7 Die Lautsprecher sind für das Aufstellen auf dem Boden, mit Spikes oder mit Gummifüße vorgesehen (siehe Abb.3 + 4). Spikes oder Gummifüße können die Klangqualität verbessern. T esten Sie beides, und finden Sie die optimale Klangqualität für Ihre Aufstellung.

23 UK DE DK BITTE BEACHTEN: Bei Benutzung von Doppelverkabelung oder doppelten Verstärkern sind vor Anschließen der Kabel IMMER die Drahtbrücken zwischen den Anschlüssen zu entfernen (siehe Abb. 9C und 9D). Bei Doppelverkabelung sind zwei Sätze von Lautsprecherkabeln anzuschließen, einer am oberen und einer am unteren Anschlusspaar .
24 8.0 LEISTUNG UND SCHALLDRUCK Mit wieviel Volumen ein Schallwandler Musik wiedergeben kann und dabei noch gut klingt, hängt ausschließlich von dem von ihm zu reproduzierenden Signal ab. Deswegen ist es in der Praxis unmöglich, eindeutige Standards für die Verwendung von Schallwandlern zu definieren.
25 UK DE DK 1) LINE-Eingangsanschluss: Das Signal des Verstärkers wird im Subwoofer gefiltert, wenn einer oder beide LINE-Eingänge benutzt werden. Diese Art des Anschlusses des Subwoofers wird üblicherweise für Stereoverstärker bzw . -Receiver gewählt.
26 Bei einer Surround-Sound-Anlage teilen Sie das Ausgangssignal des Surround-Sound- Verstärkers/-Receivers mit einem Cinch-Splitter (nicht mitgeliefert) und schließen die beiden Ausgänge an. Folgen Sie ansonsten der im vorigen Abschnitt beschriebenen Vorgangsweise – aber benutzen Sie verschiedene Kanäle.
27 UK DE DK 9.7 EINSTELLUNG DER LAUTSTÄRKE Auf der Rückseite des Subwoofers kann die Lautstärke erhöht oder verringert werden, indem man den Schalter VOLUME im oder gegen den Uhrzeigersinn dreht. Die Lautstärke sollte so eingestellt werden, dass der Bass zur Lautstärke der übrigen Lautsprecher passt.
28 9.9 SCHAL TER POWER Der Schalter POWER ist der Hauptschalter zum Ein- (ON) bzw . Ausschalten (OFF). Wir empfehlen, den Subwoofer auszuschalten, wenn er für längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird. Auch wenn der Subwoofer ausgeschaltet ist, stehen einige T eil noch unter Strom.

32 1.0 INTRODUKTION Tillykke med valget af DALI IKON MK 2 højttalere. For os er det vigtigt, at dine nye DALI højt- talere opstilles og tilsluttes bedst muligt. Vi anbefaler derfor , a t du læser manualen og følger anvisningerne (Denne manual omhandler kun IKON MK 2 serien).
33 UK DE DK BEMÆRK: På nogle gulvoverflader og i nogle rum er det afgørende at bruge spikes for at opnå det bedste resultat. Spikes (medfølger) skal monteres løst i de fire aluminiumsfødder , så spike- møtrikkerne kun er spændt en smule. Monter fødderne i de gevindskårne huller i bunden af højttaleren ved hjælp af skruerne.
34 4.0 TILSLUTNING Forbindelsen til din forstærker er uhyre vigtig for lydoplevelsen. Brug altid kabler af samme type til alle dine DALI IKON MK 2 højttalere. Kablerne i højre og venstre side skal helst have samme længde. En ofte overset detalje er tilslutning i korrekt fase, dvs.
35 UK DE DK 6.1 Undgå direkte sollys: Højttalernes overflade kan falme eller blive misfarvet med tiden, hvis den udsættes for direkte sollys. Undgå derfor at placere højttalerne i direkte sollys. 7.0 BORTSKAFFELSE Produktet må ikke blandes med almindeligt husholdningsaffald ved bortskaffelse.
36 9.2 TILSLUTNING af D ALI IKON SUB DALI IKON SUB er udstyret med en indbygget forstærker med en aktiv delefunktion. Indgangene til subwooferens forstærker skal være tilsluttet din stereo- eller surround sound-(for -)forstærker ved hjælp af et RCA-kabel (sælges separat).
37 UK DE DK 9.5 BRUG AF TO DALI IKON SUBWOOFERE I de fleste tilfælde vil du opnå fremragende resultater med én DALI IKON SUB. Det er muligt at bruge to subwoofere i en kompromisløs stereoløsning eller til reproduktion af meget kraftige lydtryk i en stereo- eller surroundopsætning i større rum.
38 9.6.1 F ASEINDSTILLING PHASE-kontakten på subwooferen har to indstillinger: 0 grader eller 180 grader . F aseindstillingen justerer timingen mellem subwooferen og højttalerne. Du indstiller fasen på følgende måde: 1) Skru lydstyrken på subwoofer lidt højere op, end du normalt ville.
39 UK DE DK Hvis du bruger store højttalere (typisk fritstående fronthøjttalere), får du mulighed for at vælge et lavere delepunkt og definere højttalerne som “store” i menusystemet.
40 H) FUSE-rum: Hvis subwooferen ikke tændes, når den tilsluttes lysnettet, og POWER-kontakten står på ON, kan sikringen være sprunget eller være defekt. Udskift sikringen med en af samme type som den oprindeligt leverede – se sikringstype på forstærkerens bagplade.
