4 Introduction V oIP (V oice over Internet Protocol; also known as In ternet Phone) is a technology that allows anyone to make a telephone call over the Internet environment. This is an operation manual for the DPH-150S IP Phone. It is intended to help you configure the t elephone.

22 6. Using the W eb Configuration The web configuration interface can be accesse d usi ng a web browser . 6.1. Accessing the Configuration Menu 1. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer , Netscape, Opera, Firefox, etc.) 2. T ype in the IP Address of the phone The IP add ress is provided by your Internet Service Provider (IS P).

24 Time Zone Select your time zone. If there is daylight saving in y our area, tick the check box Daylight Saving Check to enable daylight saving 6.4. System – Restore Factory Default Restore Factory Setting Restores all the settings back to the factory default settings 6.

28 6.11. Network – NA T T raversal Settings STUN Simple T raversal of User Datagram Protocol through Network Address T ranslation (STUN) is a protocol that allows applicati ons to determine the types of NA T s and firewalls that are in between them and the Internet.

35 Anonymous Call 1. If DISABLE is selected, full URI and name are sent to the receiver ’s phone when the user makes a pho ne call. The URI and name of the caller are displayed on the receiver’s phone. 2. When Full URI is selected, it uses “Anonymou s” as its display name and URI when the user makes a phone call.
36 6.19. Advance – Phone Settings (Timer) NTP Re cycle T imer The time interval that the IP phone synchronizes with the NTP serve r . Inter Digit Ti m er The time interval that the IP phone wait s to detect the e nd of DTMF digits. No more digits ar e accepte d after this period and the phon e begin s to dial.
37 6.20. Advance – Phone Book Phonebook menu allows the user to add, modify , and delete phone numbers. T o add, type in the name and number then click NEW to add. T o modi fy/delete, select the name from the list and click modify/delete. Name Name that you would like to add.
38 6.22. Advance – Music St ation St ation Name An easy-to-memorize name for the st ati on, ex: S tation1. URL A complete URL u sed to access the stati on It accepts 20 st ations maximum. ( 10 default st ations are provided ). Please see “Appendix B” for more det ails.
39 6.24. Call Log – Call T racing Log Call T racing Log keeps a record of all the phone a ctivi ties. This log is used by engineers to troubleshoot hardwar e problems .

41 (PhoneB) became disabled on the network so that I c an not get VoIP services. What can I do to fix it? Then, the PhoneB will automatically start to get the VoIP connectio n and the associated VoIP services.
42 Appendix A: W all Mount Inst allation This appendix herein illustrates the inst allation step by step if you would like to mount the DPH-150S on the wall. Please print out this page (Figure A1) before the installation 1. Put the template (Figure A1), which you have printed before the installation on th e wall.
