GENERAL SAFETY iNSTRUCTiONS Read and understand all the instructions below before using the power tool. These safety instructions are not meant to cover every possible condition that could occur. As with any power tool, common sense, vigilance and due care must be used.

RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES [AWARNING[ • Use only accessories recommended for this miter saw. Follow instructions that accompany accessories. UNPACKING YOUR MITER SAW [A WARNING [ To avoid injury from unexpected starting or electrical shock, do not plug the power cord into a source of power during unpacking and assembly. The cord must remain unplugged whenever you are adjusting/assembling the saw.

ARBOR LOCK - Allows the user to keep the blade from rotating while tightening or loosening the arbor locking bolt during blade replacement or removal. iNSTALLiNG THE HOLD-DOWN CLAMP (FIG. E and E-l) I. Place the hold=down clamp assembly (1) in one of the mounting holes (2). NOTE: There are no screws to secure clamp. The clamp will secure itself to the base when turning the knob (3) to clamp the workpiece.
Mounting instructions 1. For stationary use, place the saw in the desired location, directly on a workbench where there is room for handling and proper support of the workpiece.
