6 1. Introduction The CDC2500 xxx Mini series High Speed domes and a seri es of compatible ke yboar d controllers make up the building blocks for an y size video surveillance s ystem. Using multip le keyboard controllers and multiple high speed dom e camera units, one can monitor a variety of environments from small to ver y lar ge.

8 2.1 Package Conte nts The dome carton contains the following: Description Qty High Speed Dome mechanism 1 Camera Module (Son y 18x or LG27x) 1 Clear A crylic dome cover 1 Camera shroud (black) 1 Bag.
9 2.2 Ca mera Instal lation (Optio nal) NOTE: The camera module is pre-installed and tested at the factory according to you r order . Y ou do not need to perf orm any of the follow ing 3 steps unless you desire t o change or upgrade the camera mod ule.
10 S tep 2 : I nstall the block video cam era module on the vertical axis tra y of the dome as illustrated in Figure 7 usi ng the (4) supplied M2*4 screws. Attention: Exercise care not t o scratch the lens when inst alling the camera. (as a precaution leav e the protective camera lens cap in place until read y to use the dom e.

12 2.4 W all bracket i nstallation . S tep 1 : Feed the supplied dome wiring harness through the channel inside the wall bracket as illustrated in Fi gure 13.
13 2.5 Attachi ng the d ome to the bra cket S tep 1 : C onnect the end of the wiring harness protruding out of the bracket to t he mating connector on the dome u nit. Observe proper orientation of the connect ors (tab facing towards the back of the connector), as il lustrated in Figure 15.
14 2.6 Installa tion o f the acrylic do me cov er The dome cover has two parts, a metal aluminum ring and a clear acr ylic do me. The metal ring has male fine threads that will allow it to mate with t he aluminum cover of the dome mechanism.
15 2.7 W iring Specifica tions The wiring Harness has a label affixed indicating the Power , V id eo and Commun ication conductors. Do not remove this label as it may be a useful future re ference. Figure 20 is the illustration of the wirin g diagram for the electrical connecti ons to the dome unit.
16 Chapter 3: W iring and Setup 3.1 Basic Conf iguration The illustrat ion below provides the basic electrical wiring configuration for connecting and testing a single dome to a test monitor and a joystick / keyboard controller .
17 3.2 Connecting Multip le Domes When connecting mult iple d omes t ogether , the user has the opt ion to connect video and control terminals to a video matri x switcher or a DVR multipl exer creating an integrated s ystem. AC24V : Power suppl y Primary 1 10V/60H Z input to AC 24V output.
18 3.3 Communication S ettings Before installation and use, the unique address for each dome and the communication protocol including transmissi on speed (baud rate) should be s et to correspon d with the chosen cont rol sy stem. 3.4 Setting the Pr otocol a nd baud rate settings for each dome device.
