2 Precautions Installation l Do not cover o r block the ventilation port s on the rear of the mo nitor. l Do not install the monitor close to heat sour ces such as radia tors or air ducts, or in a location exposed to direct sunlight, exce ssive dust, mechan ical vibration, or shock .
3 Maintenance l Clean the cabinet and controls with a soft cloth l ightly moistened with a mild deterge nt solution. Do not use any abrasive mate rials or solven ts such as alcohol or benzene. l Do not rub, touch, or tap the su rface of the screen with sharp o r abrasive items su ch as pens or screw drivers, as the screen may s cratch.

5 Identifying parts and controls The center front panel of t he monitor carries t he control array. FRONT VIEW The controls are described below: AUTO button Automatically adjust s the picture and performance.
6 Setup Follow these d irections to correctl y set up your monitor. 1. Remove all packing materials and wrapping from the mo nitor 2. Place the monito r in its desired locatio n. Ensure that there is space around the monitor, especially the rear area.
7 Customizing your Monitor The On Screen Dis play (OSD) system provides a full range of custo mi zabl e to ol s to op t imi ze your display. Important: While full cust omization is available, we st rongly recommend using the AUTO settings, which are preset to fully optimize your monitor’s performance.
8 The OSD Areas contain the fo llo wing adjustment functions: Display Adjust Color Temperature OSD Adjust Misc Adjust.
9 Brightness & Contrast 1. To fine-tune the mo nitor’s brightnes s and contrast, s elect the pertinent item from the me nu. 2. Use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to set the display as d esired on the 0 -100 scale that appears at the bottom of the wi ndow.
10 White Balance 1. To enable the mo nitor’s auto matic White Balance capability, s elect White Balance from the menu. 2. Use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to toggle between YES and NO as de sired at the bot tom of the w indow. 3. Push the AUT O button once to save settings and return to th e Area sele ction menu.
11 OSD Time 1. To set the durat ion of the OSD window ’s display, select OSD Time from the menu. 2. Use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to set the time as desire d on off, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 se conds. 3. Push the AUT O button once to save settings and return to th e Area sele ction menu.
12 Mode Text/Graphics 1. To choose betwee n the monitor’s automatic Sharpn ess optimization for Text or Graphic use, select Mo de Text/Graphic from the menu. 2. Use the RIGHT and LEFT buttons to toggle between TEXT and GR APHIC as desired at the b ottom o f the window.
