5 About th e Data Pr ojector’ s USB Functio ns The USB por t that is built into t he Data Projector lets you connect an e xternal USB device and use it as an input source f or image projection.
6 Wireless Adapter (CASIO YW -2) Establishing a connection between the Data Projector and a computer ov er a wireless LAN makes it possib le to project the display contents of t he computer’ s screen from the Data Projector . Y ou can ha ve up to f our computers connected to the Data Projector ov er a wireless LAN at the same time.
7 Document Camera (CASIO YC-400/YC-430) Y ou can connect a CASIO Document Camera to the Data Projector’s USB port and project the images of documents placed on the document stage of the YC-400/YC-430. For more inf ormation, see “Perf o rming a Presentation Using the YC-400/YC-430 Document Camera” on page 47.
8 Connecting a USB De vice to t he Data Pr ojector What happens when you connect a USB device to the Data Projector depends on the current configuration of the Data Projector’s plug-and-play setting. Plug-and-pla y is enab led under the Data Projector’s ini tial default setti ngs.
9 Connecting to a USB Device wh ile the Data Pr oject or is On If y ou connect a USB device to t he Data Projector’ s USB port while it is turned on, it will perform one of the foll owing operations (depending on its current plug-and-play setting).
10 Installing Data Pr ojector Software Use the procedures in this section to install the software that comes b undled with the Data Projector onto your computer . Minimum S ystem Requirements The follo wing describes minimum c omputer system requirements to r un the bundled sof twa re .
11 T o install software 1 Place the bundled CD-ROM into your computer’ s CD-ROM drive. z This d ispla ys the dia log bo x sho wn belo w . 2 Select the check bo x of the software you want to install. 3 Click the [Install] button. z This will start installation.

13 Projecting Presentation Imag es fr om a USB Memory Device or Memory Card This section e xplains how to perf orm the follo wing operations. z How to use the bundled EZ-Con verter PRO and EZ-Converter 1.
14 The data types listed below can be pla yed bac k using the Data Projector’ s View er . Image Files Playbac k is suppor ted JPEG (jpg, jpeg, jpe; excluding progressiv e format) format or BMP (bmp) format image files up to 6 Mbytes in siz e. Movie Files Playbac k is suppor ted f or the f ollowing movie file f or mats.

17 Tip: Con vertible doc ument types The aspect ratio (vertical:hor izontal ) of the image projected by the Data Projector is 3:4. Because of this use of a page aspect ratio setti ng that comes as close to this as possible is recommended.
18 Using EZ-Con ver ter PR O Launcher EZ-Converter PRO Launcher lets you use drag and drop to conv er t a document to an image file and to access document conversion help . T o use EZ-Con ver ter PR O Launcher 1 On your computer’ s Wind ows Start menu, select [All Programs] - [CASIO] - [EZ- Con verter P RO].
19 Using EZ-Con ver ter 1.1 EZ-Converter 1.1 is software that lets you register images on your computer as presentation data, rearrange the projection sequence of the images that make up a presentation, select image transition eff ects, and more. It also can be used to convert a P owerP oint file to presentation data.
20 T o create pr esentation da ta Important! In order to star t up EZ-Con verter 1.1, P owerP oint 2000, 2002, 2003, or 2007 will need to be installed on the computer . 1 On your computer’ s Wind ows Start menu, select [All Programs] - [CASIO] - [EZ- Con vert er].

24 T o sa ve edited p resentation data Either click the button or select [File] - [Save Presentation File]. This saves the edited presentation data by replacing the original data. T o sa ve edited presentatio n data as a ne w file 1 Either clic k the [Save] button or select [File] - [Save Presentation File As].
25 Option Settings Selecting [T ools] - [Options] on the EZ-Conver ter 1.1 window will display an Options dialog box, which y ou can use to configure the settings of various operations . Refer to the sections of this manual shown below f or details about the settings y ou can configure on the Options dialog box.

29 Driv e Menu Oper ations If the USB memory device or memory card has multiple drives, a menu of drives will appear when Viewer star ts up . There are tw o different vie ws f or the drive menu: an icon view and a tree vie w .
30 File Men u Operations There are two diff erent views f or the file menu: a t humbnail view and a tree vie w . Thumbnail Vie w This view shows thumbnails of the image files and mo vie files contained on the USB memor y device or memor y card. F olders are shown as icons.

34 Note z A slideshow displa ys the image files (jpg or bmp) that are included in the same f older as the image file you select in step 1 of the abov e procedure. 35 Using the Present ation Men u The folder that contains the presentation file created using the EZ-Conv er ter 1.1 software ( page 19) that comes b undled with the Data Projector is called a “presentation f older”.
36 T o perf orm a slidesho w b y running a presenta tion file 1 Use the [ T ] and [ S ] keys to mo ve the highlightin g to the presentation file you want to run. 2 Press the [ENTER] key or the [ ] key . z This will start the curre ntly selecte d presentati on file.
37 Operations during Image File Content Projection T o scr oll between image files Use the [ X ] and [ W ] k eys. Note Scrolling to a file that is too l arge to fit within the projection area will cause the message “Cann ot displa y an image file . ” to appear .

39 Slideshow Start Err or The error mess age shown belo w may appear when you at tempt to star t a slideshow using one of the procedures under “T o star t a slideshow from a par ticular image file.
40 Operations durin g Mo vie File Pla ybac k Y ou can perf orm the operations described below during movie file pla yback. Note Pressing the [FUNC] ke y during movie playbac k will pause pla yback and displa y the Viewer function menu. Pla yba c k will resume when you press the [ESC] ke y to close the Viewer function menu.
41 Configuring Viewer Setup Menu Sett ings Note z When you perf or m a slideshow by r unning a presentation file created wit h EZ- Conv er ter 1.1, the slideshow settings on the Viewer setup menu (Ima.

47 P erf orming a Presentation Using the YC-400/YC-430 Document Ca mera This section e xplains how to connect the CASIO YC-400/YC-430 Multi PJ Ca mera System (document camera) to the Data Projector in order to project the im ages of documents placed on the document stage of the document camera.

The projection image produced the next time y ou release t he shutter will be projected in accordance with the settings on the YC Camera Application Setup Menu (page 55).
54 T o perf orm manual skew co rrection on the currentl y proj ected ima ge Note z Ske w correction automatically st raightens the image of a document that is misaligned on the document stage of the document camera. Under its initial def aults, the YC Camera application is configured to perf orm ske w c orrection automatically .
