E-4 404A-E-006A General Guide Numeric Input Keys and +/– Keys ● For a moment after you hold down the FUNCTION button and then press another button to activate a function, you can use certain keyboard keys to input numbers or to increase (+) and decr ease ( – ) setting values.

E-11 Playing Rhythms 404A-E-013A Using Auto Accompaniment W ith auto accompaniment, the keyboar d automatically plays r hythm, bass, and chord parts in accor dance with chords you select using simplified keyboard fingerings, or chor ds you play . Auto accompaniment makes it feel like you have your own private backup gr oup with you all the time.
E-12 Chord T ypes Major chords Press one accompaniment key . Note that the chor d produced when you press an accompaniment keyboard key does not change octave, r egardless of which key you use to play it.

E-15 Learning to Play the Music Library Tunes Practicing a Music Library T une Y ou can turn of f the left hand part or right hand part of a Music Library tune and play along on the piano. PREP ARA TION • Select the tune you want to practice and adjust the tempo (See “ T o adjust the tempo ” on page E-10).
E-16 Y ou can stor e the notes you play in Song Memory for later playback. NOTE • Y ou cannot use layer or split with Song Memory recor d operation. • The metronome beat setting changes to 0 automatically while you are using Song Memory . This setting is fixed and cannot be changed.
