However , if it is necessary to lo- cate the unit on an upper floor , be sure the structure has been designed to support the unit weight.

10 3. Install the inside coupling half over the gasket and then install the outer half. Connect with nuts and bolts. T ighten the nuts equally on both sides. Ensure there is no gap be- tween the two halves of the coupling. 4. Alternately tighten the nuts with a wrench to draw the coupling halves together uniformly .

13 Step 6 — Fill the Chilled W ater Loop W A TER SYSTEM CLEANING — P r o pe r wa t e r sy s t em cleaning is of vital importance. Excessive particulates in the water system can cause excessive pump seal wear , reduce or stop flow , and cause damage of other com ponents.
14 Ensure the following when filling the system: 1. Remove temporary bypass piping and cleaning/flushing equipment. 2. Check to make sure all drain plugs are installed. 3. Open the blow-down valve to flush the strainer . Normally , a closed system needs to be filled only once.
15 EXAMPLE: Supply voltage is 240-3-60. AB = 243 v BC = 236 v AC = 238 v A verage V oltage = 243 + 236 + 238 3 = 239 v Determine maximum deviation from average voltage: (AB) 243 – 239 = 4 v (BC) 239 – 236 = 3 v (AC) 239 – 238 = 1 v Maximum deviation is 4 v .
