Oper ating Instructions 13 Befor e Using for the First Time 0 1. Pull the detergent dispenser drawer a short distance out of the contr ol panel. 2. P our about 1 litre of water thr ough the detergent dispenser dr awer into the washing machine. When this has been done, done the ÖKO lock can function correctly .
Oper ating Instructions 14 Shake out washing before placing into the washing machine. Do not place folded washing into the drum. Observe tips such as "wash separately" and "wash separ ately several times"! W ashing T ypes and Car e Symbols Car e symbols assist in the selection of the correct washing pr ogr am.
Oper ating Instructions 15 Which Deter gent? T o ensure you obtain the best wash r esults from your appliance, it is important to use the right deter gent in your everyday wash, and only deter gents re commended for use in automatic machines.
Oper ating Instructions 16 And in which form? Not only ar e there differ ent types of deter gent, but they ar e also avail- able in differ ent forms. Whether you choose a powder or liquid in tr aditional or compact form, is down to pers onal choice. T r aditional P owders P our the powder directly into the dispenser dr awer .

The amount to be used depends on t he load: 3 If the deter gent manufactur er does not make any specifications for small loads, use a thir d less for half loads, and for very small loads only use half of the amount of washing powder r ecommended for a full load.
Oper ating Instructions 18 P erforming a W ashing Cycle Brief Instructio ns A washing cycle is performed in the following steps: 0 1. Check whether the water tap is opened. 2. Open the door , load the washing. 3. Close the door . 4. Add detergent/conditioner .

If RINSE HOLD is selected, the washing is left in the last rinse water , it is not spun.

Do not use household furniture polish or abr asive cleaner s to clean the panel and oper ating parts. 0 Wipe over the operating panel with a damp cloth. Use warm water . Deter gent Dispenser Drawer The deter gent dispenser drawer should be cleaned fr om time to time.

T r ouble Shooting If you call out an engineer and the fault is listed here, a char ge is levied even if the appliance is in guar antee.
Oper ating Instructions 27 Water runs out fr om under the washing machine. Thr eaded fitting on the water inlet hose is leaki ng. Tighten the inlet hose con- nections. The inlet hose has a lea k. Check the inlet hose and if necessary r eplace it. The dr ain pump cover is no t tight.

If the washing machine is located in a r oom in which below fr eezing temper atur es might occur , emergency emptying must be carried out if danger of freezing occur s.
Oper ating Instructions 30 When the W ater is Completely Drained: 7. Push and twist the plug firmly back into the emer gency emptying hose. 8. Push the emer gency emptying hose back in a little and let it catch on to the holder . 9. Put on the flap and close.
