T o help you make the best use of your cooker , PLEASE READ THIS BOOKLET CAREFULL Y . Y our new cooker is guaranteed and will give lasting service. The guar antee is only applicable if the cooker has been installed in accordance with the Installation Instructions.
Please read the precautions below befor e using your cook er . AL W A Y S . . . AL W A YS make sure you understand the controls bef ore using the co oker . AL W A YS check that all controls on the c ooker are turned off after use. AL W A YS stand back when opening the oven door t o allow heat to di sperse .
NEVER . . . NEVER leave childr en unsupervised where the cooker is installed as all sur faces will get hot during and after use. NEVER allow any one to sit or stand on any part of the cooker . NEVER store items that childr en may attempt t o reach abov e the c ooker .
7 HO TPL A TE The hotplate has one large high speed burner , two normal simmering burners and one small simmering burner which will accommodate pans between 100mm (4”) and 200mm (8”) diameter . All pans should be positioned centrally over the burners.
8 HO TPL A TE SAFET Y REQUIREMENTS FOR DEEP F A T FRYING 1. Never fill chip pans more than one third full with oil or fa t . 2. Never leav e oil or fat unattended during the heating or c ooli ng period. 3. Never heat fat or fry with a lid on the pan. 4.
9 The grill pan can be pulled out to safety stops f or viewing and for turning the food . T o remov e the pan: pull it forward to the stop , lift it upwards and remov e outwards. T O USE THE GRILL 1. Press the ignition butt on and then push in and turn the contr ol knob anti-clockwise to the large flame symbol.
The ov en has different hea t zones – the thermostat settings ref er t o the temperature on the middle shelf position; above this shelf it is hott er and below it is cooler . Tw o shelves enable full use of the tempera tures inside the ov en. Each shelf has a safety stop to prev ent if from being pulled ou t too far when attending to food .
C OLD ST ART C OOKING Anything requiring long slow c ooking such as casseroles and ric h fruit cakes can be put into a cold ov en. Satisfactory results can also be obtained with creamed mix ture , rich pastries or yeast mixtures, but for perfection we recommend preheating the o ven for about 15 minutes .
The following times and setting ar e for guidance only . Y ou may wish to alter the setting to give a result more t o your satisfaction. When a differen t setting to that shown below is given in a recipe , the recipe instructions should be follow ed. Allo w 15 minutes preheat f or best results.
13 O VEN C OOKING CHART When baking with two trays or tins on two lev els, the top tr ay is remo ved first and the lower tra y mov ed up to the top position for a f ew minutes longe r. Soft Margarine – Use the oven settings recommended b y the margarine manufacturer and not those indicated on the cooking char t.
The ‘E’ setting on the ov en thermostat is used for slow cooking , keeping food warm and warming plates for short periods. USING THE ‘E’ SETTING FOR SLOW C OOKING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘E’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours .
T ake care as accessible surfaces inside the storage c ompartment will become hot when the ov en is in use. T he storage c ompartment is ideal for s toring saucepans , meat pans etc. Do not use it for st oring combustible mat erials, flammable liquids or aerosols.
16 CARE AND CLEANING Clean the cooker r egularly and wipe up spills soon after they occur to prev ent them from bec oming burnt on. Nev er use biological washi ng powder , caustic cleaners, harsh abr asives , scouring pads , aeros ol cleaners or o ven chemical cleaners of any kind .

18 Ensure that only authorised Cannon replacements ar e fitted to g iv e the correct per formance and appearance. Repairs carried out by unauthorised or inexperienced persons ma y cause serious damage to the cooker , and may result in personal injur y .
Prior to installation, ensur e that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions ar e compatible. T he adjustment conditions for this appliance ar e stated on the data badge which is fitted on the plin th panel.

C OOKER HOODS If a cooker hood is to be installed, r efer to the c ooker hood m anufacturer ’ s instruc tions regarding fixing height. SP ACE FOR FIXING The cooker can be close fitted below hotplat e level. This requir es a minimum distance of 503mm between cupboard units of hotplate height.
UNP ACKING THE C OOKER Unpack the components. Check that the f ollowing parts are prese nt. Grill pan and grid Baking dish P an supports (2) Oven shelves (2) Enamelled discs (4) Literature Battery 1.5V Aluminium burner bodies (4) LEVELLING F our skid feet are fitted which can be adjusted up or down t o l evel the cooker .
INST ALLA TION AND OPERA TIONAL CHECKS After installation, check for gas soundness . The supply pressur e can be checked at the grill injector . A ccess to the injector is by first remo ving the rear panel at the back of the splashback. Then remov e the burner fastening screw and slide the burner off the injector .
