7 HO TPL A TE The hotplate has one lar ge high speed burner , two normal simmering burners and one small simmering burner which will accommodate pans between 100mm (4”) and 200mm (8”) diameter . All pans should be positioned centrally over the burners .
8 HO TPL A TE SAFET Y REQUIREMENTS FOR DEEP F A T FRYING 1. Never fill chip pans more than one thir d full with oil or fat . 2. Never lea ve oil or fat unatt ended during the heating or cooli ng period. 3. Never heat fat or fry with a lid on the pan. 4.
9 The grill pan can be pulled out to saf ety stops for viewing and for turning the f ood. T o remov e the pan: pull it forward to the stop , lift it upwards and remo ve outwards . T O USE THE GRILL 1. Pr ess the ignition button and then push in and turn the contr ol knob anti-clockwise to the large flame symbol.
The ov en has differen t heat zones – the thermostat settings ref er to the temperat ure on the middle shelf position; abov e this shelf it is hotter and below it is cooler . T wo shelves enable full use of the temper atures inside the ov en. Each shelf has a safety stop to pr event if from being pulled ou t too far when att ending to food .
C OLD ST ART C OOKING Anything r equiring long slow cooking such as casseroles and ric h fruit cak es can be put into a cold o ven. Satisfactor y r esults can also be obtained with creamed mixture, rich pastries or yeast mixtures, but f or per fection we rec ommend preheating the ov en for about 15 minutes .
The follo wing times and setting are for guidanc e only . Y ou may wish to alt er the setting to give a result mor e to your satisfaction. When a differ ent setting to that shown belo w is given in a recipe , the recipe instructions should be follow ed .
13 O VEN C OOKING CHART When baking with two trays or tins on two lev els, the t op tray is remo ved first and the lower tr ay mov ed up to the top position f or a few minutes longe r. Sof t Mar garine – Use the ov en settings recommended by the mar garine manufacturer and not those indicated on the cooking char t.
The ‘E’ setting on the ov en thermostat is used for slo w cook ing , k eeping f ood warm and warming plates f or shor t periods. USING THE ‘E’ SET TING FOR SL OW C OOKING 1. All dishes cooked by the ‘E’ setting should be cooked for a minimum 6 hours .
T ake care as accessible surfaces inside the storage c ompar tmen t will become hot when the ov en is in use . The stor age compartment is ideal for s toring saucepans , meat pans etc . Do not use it for storing combustible ma terials, flammable liquids or aerosols.
16 CARE AND CLEANING Clean the cook er regularly and wipe up spills soon after they occur to prev ent them fr om becoming burnt on. Ne ver use biological washi ng powder , caustic cleaners, harsh abr asiv es, sc ouring pads, aeros ol cleaners or o v en chemical cleaners of any kind .

18 Ensure that only authorised Cannon replac ements are fitted to g iv e the correct per formance and appearance . Repairs carried out by unauthorised or inexperienced persons ma y cause serious damage to the cooker , and may result in personal injury .
Prior to installa tion, ensure that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment c onditions are compatible . The adjustment conditions for this applianc e are stated on the data badge which is fitt ed on the plinth panel.

C OOKER HOODS If a cooker hood is to be installed , refer t o the cooker hood m anufac tur er ’ s instructions regarding fixing height. SP ACE FOR FIXING The cooker can be close fitted below hotpla te level. This r equires a minimum distance of 503mm between cupboard units of hotplat e height.

Grill pan and grid Baking dish P an suppor ts (2) Oven shelves (2) Enamelled discs (4) Literatur e Battery 1.5V Aluminium burner bodies (4) LEVELLING F our skid feet are fitted which can be adjusted up or do wn to l evel the cooker .
INST ALLA TION AND OPERA TIONAL CHECKS After installation, check for gas soundness . The supply pressur e can be checked at the grill injector . Access to the injector is by first remo ving the rear panel at the back of the splashback. Then remo ve the burner fastening screw and slide the burner off the injector .
