7 O VEN TIMER OPERA TION CL OCKF ACE The timer incorporates a 24 hour clock. Ensure the correct time of day is alw ays set , before using your cooker . SYMBOLS A ‘bell’ symbol will light up when you select a Minute Minder Period and will remain lit for the period set.
SETTING THE TIME OF DA Y Step 1 Make sure all oven controls ar e turned Off. Step 2 Check the electricity supply to the cooker is turned on. Step 3 When switched on the display will show 0.00 and the A uto symbol , flashing intermittently . Step 4 Press & hold in both the C ook Period & End Time buttons togethe r.
Step 3 Press and hold in the C ook Period button. The display will read 0.00 with the ‘ cookpot’ symbol lit. Step 4 With the Cook P eriod button still held in, set the required Coo k P eriod using the “+” and “–” buttons.
Step 4 Press & hold in the C ook Period button, the display will r ead 0.00 and the ‘ cookpot ’ symbol will light up. With the Cook P eriod button still held in set the required Cook P eriod using the “+” and “–” buttons. Example: 1hr 30 minutes (as shown).
O THER NOTES ON TIMER OPERA TION 1. When cooking Automatically the Cook P er iod can be checked at an y time simply b y pressing the Cook Period button. 2. When cooking Automatically the End Time can be checked at any t ime by simply pr essing the End Time button.
The hotplate has one dual con trol wok burner , one large high speed burner , three normal simmering burners and one small simmering burner . The du al control w ok burner consists of a smaller inner and a larger outer burner th at can operat e either together or separately .
HO TPLA TE 13 SAFET Y REQUIREMENTS FOR DEEP F A T FRYING 1. Nev er fill chip pans more than one third full with oil or fat . 2. Nev er leave oil or fa t unattended during the heating or cooli ng period. 3. Nev er heat fat or fry with a lid on the pan.
CA UTION – AC CESSIBLE P ARTS MA Y BEC OME HO T WHEN THE GRILL IS IN USE. Y OUNG CHILDREN SHOULD BE KEPT A W A Y . GRILLING SHOULD NEVER BE UNDERT AKEN WITH THE GRILL DOOR CLOSED . The grill control is designed to pr ovide variable heat c ontrol of either the full width of the grill or just the grill half.
The heating of the ov en is achieved by turning the contr ol knob clock wise to the required tempera ture as recommended in the tempera ture char ts. T he pilot light will immediately come on and will automatically go off and on during c ook ing as the ov en thermostat maintains the correct temperature .
TEMPERA TURE AND TIME When all three shelves ar e used to cook large quantities of f oo d for home freezing or parties, it may be necessary to increase the cooking times given in the char ts by a f ew minutes to allow f or the loss of heat due to the extra time taken to load the oven, and the larger mass of food .
OVEN C ONTROL Heating of the oven is achiev ed by turning the control clockwise to the required o ven tempera- ture scale on the control panel, as rec ommended in the temperature charts. The pilot light will immediately come on and off during cooking as the thermostat maintains the correct tempera- ture.

The storage compartment is ideal for storing saucepans meat pans, etc . Do not use it for storing combustible materials, flammable liquids or aer osols.
W ARNING: NEVER USE STEAM CLEANERS. Switch off the electricity supply and allow to c ool before clea ning the cooker . Clean the cooker r egularly and wipe up spills soon after they occur to prev ent them from becoming burnt on.

23 SOMETHING WRONG WITH Y OUR C OOKER PROBLEM Before contacting your Service C entre or Installer , check the problem guide below , there may be nothing wrong with y our cooker . CHECK Ignition does not work. Slight odour or small amount of smoke when grill/ov en used for first time.
Read the Timer instructions in this book carefully remembering that the Cook period is the length of time that the timer will switch the ov en(s) on as par t of an Auto C ooking Programme. The electricity supply to the cooker may have been interrupted , but has now come back on again.
Prior to installation, ensur e that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and the adjustment conditions ar e compatible. The adjustmen t conditions for this appliance ar e stated on the data badge which is fitted on the rear panel.

INST ALLA TION INSTRUCTIONS 27 C ONVERSION FOR USE ON BUT ANE OR PROP ANE Each hob burner requires the injector to be replaced and each burner gas tap to ha ve the by-pass screw adjusted accor ding to the following pr ocedure : 1. Lift off the burner cap and the burner body and place it to one side.
28 SP A CE FOR FIXING The cooker can be close fitted below hotplat e level. This requires a minimum distance of 1000mm between cupboard units of hotplat e height. When installing next to a tall cupboard , par tition or wall, f or a minimum distance of 400mm above hotplat e level, allow a side clearanc e of at least 65mm.

An adaptor backplate should , therefore , be fitted within the shaded area shown to allow the cooker to be pushed fully to the wall. If a f or ward facing backplate is used , it must be chased into the wall.
