Chapter 1 8 Stat us LED indic ati ons 1 The Status LED (l ight emitting diode) wi ll f l ash and chan ge colour d epending on the mac hi ne’ s status. LED Machine Sta tus Descri ption Sleep Mode The power swi tch is off or the machi ne is in Sleep mode.

Toner Li fe End Replace t he toner cartr idge with a new one. Paper err or Put paper i n t he tray or cle ar t h e paper jam.
10 2 Loading pape r and print medi a 2 The m achine can feed paper from t he standard paper tray, optional lower tray or multi-purpose t r ay. When y ou put pape r into the paper t ray, note the following: If your a pplication sof t ware supports paper size selection on the print menu, you can select it through the software.

IMPORTAN T Make s ure the paper guides touch the sides of the paper. e Put t he paper tray f i rm l y b ack in t he machine .
Chapter 2 12 b Open the MP tray and lower it gently. c Pull out the MP t ray su pport (1) and unfold the flap (2). d While pressing the paper side guide release lever, sli d e the paper guid es to fit t he wid t h of the paper that you a r e going to use.

Chapter 2 18 Envelopes 2 Most envelo pes will be suitable fo r your machine. However, som e envelopes m ay have feed and print-quality pro bl em s becau s e of the way they have be en made. A suitable envelope s houl d have edge s wi th straight, well-creased folds and the leading edge s hould not be thicke r than t wo she ets of paper.

52 A Choosing a location A Put you r machine on a flat, stable surface that is free of v ibration and sho cks, such as a desk. Pu t the machine near a standard grounde d electric al socket. Choose a location where the temperatu r e r emai ns between 10 ° C and 32.

76 Fuse r Error The temperat ure of fuser uni t does not ri se at a specifi ed temperat ure with in spe cified time. Turn th e p ower switch off , wait a few second s, and then turn i t on again . Leave the mac hine for 15 mi nutes with the po wer on.
