T ake a look at the map below; the shaded area shows the limits where the ER V unit can be installed. Howe ver , there is no geographical limitation f or installing an HR V unit.
- 9 - 3. INST ALLA TION 3 .1 I NSPECT THE C ONTENTS OF THE B OX • Inspect the e xter ior of the unit f or shipping damage. Ensure that there is no damage to the door , door latches, power cord, etc . • Remov e and discard the 2 transpor t brac kets ( A ) and open the door .

Rigid ducts Use a small length of fle xible duct to connect the rigid duct to the por ts in order to av oid vibration transmissions. Use tie-wraps to perf or m connections.
3.8 I NST ALLING THE T ANDEM ® T RANSITION K IT ( CONT ’ D ) 3.8.1 C ONNECTION T O T ANDEM ® TRANSITION 1. F or each duct, pull back the insulation to e xpose the interior flexible duct. 2. Connect the interior flexib le duct to the smaller par t of the T andem® transition (5’ ’ ov al) using a tie wrap .

4. CONTROLS 4.1 I NTEGRA TED C ONTROL All units are equipped with an integrated control, located under the unit, in front of the electrical compar tment. Use the push button ( 1 ) to control the unit. The LED ( 2 ) will then shows on which mode the unit is in.

7.1 W HA T Y OU N EED T O B ALANCE THE U NIT • A magnehelic gauge capable of measuring 0 to 0.5 inch of water (0 to 125 P a) and 2 plastic tubes. • The balancing char t located on the unit door . 7.2 P RELIMINAR Y S T AGES T O B ALANCE THE U NIT • Seal all the unit ductwork with tape.

CONNECTING THE DRAIN (HR V UNITS ONL Y) VO0091 VO0093 VO0092 T o drain In order to keep the dr ain pan intact, hand tighten the 2 plastic drain fittings to the unit door using the gaskets and n uts as shown. Cut 2 sections of plastic tubing, about 12” (305 mm) long and attach them to each drain fitting.
3. Lift both f oam filters brack et ( 1 ) and remov e the f oam filters from the core. While holding the core, rotate the 2 core retainers ( 2 ) and slide out the core from the unit. 2. Unlatch the door and open it. Clean the inner side of the door with a damp cloth, then wipe with a dr y one.
9. MAINTENANCE (CONT’D) 9.1 S EMI -A NNU AL M AINTENANCE ( CONT ’ D ) 4. Clean the inside walls of the unit with a clean damp cloth, then wipe with a clean dry one. 5. W ash the 2 core filters under hot water with mild soap . Rinse thoroughly and let dr y completely bef ore reinstalling on the core.
