3 W ARNING • Never use natural gas in a unit designed f or liquid propane gas. • Never use c harcoal briquets or lighter fluid in a gas grill. • Leak test all connections before fir st use, e ven if grill was pur c hased full y assemb led and after each tank refill.
4 W ARNING W ARNING LP GAS CYLINDER (NO T SUPPLIED WITH THIS GRILL) The LP cylinder is a vailable f or purchase at the same location the grill was pur chased. The LP (Liquid Propane) gas c ylinder specifically designed to be used with this grill must ha ve a 20 lb.
5 The cylinder must also be equipped with: • A shut-off v alve terminating in a T ype 1 gas cylinder valv e outlet. • A T ype 1 v alve that pre vents gas flo w until a positive seal is obtained. • An arrangement f or vapor withdr awal. • A collar to protect the cylinder shut-off v alve.
FILLING THE LP GAS CYLINDER: • Allow onl y qualified LP gas dealers to properl y fill or repair your LP gas cylinder . • New tanks should be pur g ed prior to filling; inform LP gas dealer if y ou are using a new tank. • DO NO T allow the cylinder to be filled be yond 80% capacity .
7 W ARNING • Never use y our grill without leak testing all gas connections and hoses. See the section on "Leak T esting" in this manual for pr oper procedures. The pressure regulator and hose assembl y supplied with your gas grill must be used.
LEAK TESTING: T o prevent fire or explosion hazar d: • DO NO T smoke or permit ignition sources in the area while conducting a leak test. • P erform test OUTDOORS only in a well ventilated area. • Never perf orm a leak test with a match or open flame.
W ARNING 9 6. Check each place listed (A – K) for g rowing bub bles which indicates a leak. 7. T ur n off gas supply at cylinder valv e. 8. T ur n on control knobs to release gas pressure in hose. 9. T ur n control knobs to "OFF" position.
LIGHTING INSTR UCTIONS: Follow the instructions e xactly . 1. OPEN THE GRILL LID before attempting to light a burner so that fumes do not accum ulate inside the grill. An explosion could occur if grill lid is down. 2. Check that all b urner control knobs and the cylinder v alve are turned to the "OFF" position.
LIGHTING THE SIDE BURNER: 1. Open lid before lighting side b ur ner . 2. Make sure control knob is in the "OFF" position. 3. Push and turn side burner control knob to the "HIGH" position. 4. Press the electronic igniter on the main control panel and hold f or 3 – 5 seconds to light burner .
12 OPERA TING THE GRILL: Never use Char coal or Lighter Fluid inside your Gas Grill. Read and follo w all warnings and instructions contained in the preceding sections of this manual.
R O TISSERIE COOKING: • Y our grill was pre-drilled from factory to include mounting holes for a rotisserie (sold separately). Do not use a rotisserie not specifically manuf actured for this grill. • Read and f ollow all instructions provided with the rotisserie.
14 GRILL COOKING TIPS CLEANLINESS • Alwa ys wash hands thoroughly with soap and hot water prior to handling f ood and after handling raw meat, uncooked poultry or seafood.
BURNER ASSEMBL Y/MAINTENANCE • Although y our bur ners are constructed of cast iron, they ma y rust as a result of the extreme heat and acids from cooking f oods. Regularly inspect the burners for crac ks, abnormal holes, and other signs of corrosion damage.
16 TRANSPOR TING AND ST ORA GE: • Never mo ve a grill when it is hot or when objects are on the cooking surfaces. • Make sure that cylinder v alve is shut off. After moving the grill chec k that all gas connections are free of leaks. Refer to instructions for Leak T esting.
17 TR OUBLE SHOO TING Prob lem: P ossible Causes: 1. Chec k LP cylinder fuel lev el. 2. Bad electrode spark. Check to see if the g r ill will match light. Electrode or collector ma y need adjustment. 3. Burner may not be properly seated. 4. Burner may be obstructed.
18 Y our grill's ser ial number and model n umber , and the contact information for Brinkmann Customer Ser vice, are listed on a silv er label found beneath the control panel, on the bac k of the gr ill or on the side of the grill body , under the side shelf .
Cleaning Stainless Steel Cooking Grills: W ash grills with a mild detergent and r inse with hot water bef ore initial use and as needed. DO NOT use a commercial o ven cleaner . F or stub born food residue , use a degreaser and fiber or brass cleaning brush.

Choose a good, cleared assembly area and get a friend to help you put your g r ill together . La y cardboard down to protect g r ill finish and assembly area.
NO TE: With the help of a friend, turn the cart over . T r y to minimize the stress to the side panels. Step 3 Attach locking casters to the bottom of the car t. Tighten caster bolts securely using he x nut wrench provided in par ts pac k. NO TE: With the help of a friend, turn the cart to its upright position.
Spring Pin 25 Step 5 Install door brac ket using the f our M6 X 60mm bolts with washers . Make sure door stop is set to ward back of cart. NO TE: Leave bolts hand tight until Step 9. Step 6 Inser t right side door pivot into the hole in bottom car t shelf .
26 Step 7 Attach the grease cup brac ket onto the back cart panel by inser ting the three tabs into the slots on the back car t panel. NO TE: When perf orming Step 8, Lift grill body fr om front and rear panels to av oid injury to hands and fingers. Step 8 With the help of a friend, place grill body assembly on g r ill car t.
Step 9 Attach side table to left side of cart frame assemb ly . Insert four M6 X 12mm round head bolts halfwa y into car t frame assemb ly . Step 10 Place table k eyholes o ver bolts and slide down, then tighten securely . Step 11 Attach side burner to right side of car t frame assemb ly .
28 Step 13 Remov e two M4 X 10mm bolts and spring washers from the side burner valv e. Inser t the side burner v alve stem through the hole in the side burner table base , then fir mly seat the v alve nozzle into the burner venturi. Hold in place while you perf orm Step 14.
Grease T ra y Grease Cup Step 16 Place side burner grate o ver side burner . Step 17 Inser t grease tra y into opening on backside of g r ill. Make sure to slide tra y onto trac ks as illustrated. Step 18 Slide grease cup into grease cup brac ket located under grill bottom on backside of g r ill.
30 Step 19 Place the heat distribution plates on low er lev el of grill body assembly directly abov e burners. Step 20 Place cooking grills on suppor t ribs directly abov e heat distribution plates. Step 21 Place warming rack in slots abo ve cooking grills.
