How to Wir e Y our Speakers Y ou need to wire your speakers correctly to obtain the best sound quality and the pr oper image. W iring should just take a few minutes, but it’ s important to do it car efully , since incorrect wiring (such as reversed connections) can r esult in a poor soundstage or poor bass.

9 Dolby Pr o Logic and Dolby Digital Line-Level System Connection Using the line-level connection to the subwoofer generally results in a cleaner system sound, since the receiver’ s amplifier no longer has to r eproduce the difficult low bass information that can push it into audible distortion (also known as clipping).

11 Subwoofer V olume Contr ol V olume: Adjusts the sound level of the subwoofer . If you are using the speaker -level connections, begin with a setting at about the 10:00 o’clock position. When using the line-level connections, begin with a setting around 11:00 o’clock.
