Examples: Remote glow button Pressing the glow button on the rear of the remo te illuminates the remote buttons (and th e display for 235/135 and V35 /V25 systems).

English – 13 P OWER O N /O FF CONTROLS Starting your system Press the power button on the remote or on the console to start your system. In several seconds the power LED on the console ch anges from blinking to steady green. The system is now ready to use.

Pr ess the remote SOURCE button to display a list of connected d evices on your TV . The currently selected device is highlighted as shown in the followi ng example: 2.
English – 15 O PERATING Y OUR C ONNECTED D EVICES Wa t c h i n g T V Y our TV ma y be r ece iving its program conten t through a set top box or the tuner built into your TV . Note: Since most televisions come wi th an IR (infrared) remote, you may need to point the Bose ® remote at your TV to operate it.
16 – English O PERATING Y OUR C ONNECTED D EVIC ES Playing audio/video devices During the interactive setup pr ocess you ma y have connected a CD, DV D, DVR, Blu-ray Disc™ player , or other such device. These would typic ally be connecte d to inputs 1-5.
English – 17 O PERATING Y OUR C ONNECTED D EVICES Playing an iPod or iPhone (235/135 or V35/V25 systems only) Y our L IFESTYLE ® system can play audio and video fr om your iPod or iPhone. Be sure to dock your iPod before attempti ng to select it. It will not appear in the SOURCE list until you dock it.
18 – English O PERATING Y OUR C ONNECTED D EVIC ES Using the fr ont console inputs The front of the console provides analog A/V inputs plus a USB and an HDMI input. These inputs appear in the SO URCE menu as A/V (Front), USB, and HDMI (Fr ont) only when a device is connected.
English – 19 O PERATING Y OUR C ONNECTED D EVICES Fr ont Analog A/V input Y ou can use this input for devices that have composite video and left/right audio outputs. The Bose ® remote does not contr ol a device connected to this input. Y ou need to use the con trols on the d evice it self or th e remote that came wi th it.

T uning to a station Storing a pr eset station The built-in radio tuner can store up to 25 FM and 25 AM preset stations.

The fu nctions that appear depend on the selected sour ce. The following ex ample shows how these buttons appear on your TV .

28 – English C ARE AND M AINTENANCE TV does not respond to remote co mmands (135 systems only) • M ake sure the speaker array is not blocking the IR sensor on the TV . Change the position of the TV and sp eaker array so that the IR sensor is not blocked.
English – 29 C ARE AND M AINTENANCE Resetting the system 1. Pr ess and hol d the power button on the control console for 5 seconds or until the power light on the con trol console changes to red. The power light on the control console ch anges to red when the system shuts down.
