Preparation before Use 2-2 Changing Network Interface Parameters This printer supports TCP/IP (IPv4), TCP/IP (IPv6), IPP , SSL Server and the IPSec protocols and Security Level. The table below shows the items required for each of the settings. Configure the printer's network parameters as appr opriate for your PC and your network environment.

Preparation before Use 2-22 Loading Paper The following explains the procedure for loading paper in the cassette and the MP tray . Loading Paper in to the Cassette The standard cassette holds up to 500 sheet s of A4 or smaller plain paper (80 g/m²).

Preparation before Use 2-24 If you are going to use paper that is longer than A4, pull out the paper length guide backwards. 7 Load the paper in the cassette. Ensure the side to be printed is facing down and the paper is not folded, curled, or damaged.
2-25 Preparation before Use Loading Paper into th e MP (Multi-Purpose) T ray The multi purpose tray will hold up to 100 sh eets of A4 or smaller plain p aper (80 g/m²).

Insert the envelope all the way along the width guides, keeping the printing side face-up and the edge with the flap facing towards you.

Operation Panel 4-8 Selecting a Menu The mode selection menu is hierarchical.
