6 Heating symbol While t he oven is h eating up, the s sy mbol is lit in the dis pla y. When the optimum time for p lacing the dish in the oven has been reached and the oven i s maintain i ng t h e temperature, t h e s sy mbo l is no l onger lit. The s symb ol never light s up during grilling or clean ing.
7 Wire insert - HEZ324000 For roasting. Always place the wire rack in t he univers a l pan. This ensu r es that dripping fat and meat juic es are collected. No Gril l tray - HEZ325070 Use for grilling i nstead of th e wire rack or as a s p latter guard, so that t he ov en d oes not b ec ome very dirty.

9 Rapi d he atin g With rapid h eating, your oven reaches the t emperature selected p art ic ular ly q uic kly . Use r ap id heating when te mperatures above 100 °C are sel ected .

11 Childpr oof lock The oven has a childproof lock to p revent children switching it on acci denta lly. The oven will no t rea ct to an y setti ngs . The ti mer an d cloc k can also be s et when the ch ildpr oof lock has be en activated. Acti vating the chi ldproof lock The function selector must b e on the zero se tting.
12 Self-cleani ng During self-cleaning, the ov en heats up t o approx. 500 . This burns off resi dues from roasting, grill ing or baki ng and you only need to wipe the ashes from the cooking c ompartment. You c an ch oose from th ree cleani ng levels.
13 Setti ng a later end t ime The end ti m e of the self-cleaning programme c an b e de layed. In this way, self-clean ing c an run overnight, for exampl e, so t h at you can use you r oven during the day. Mak e set t ings as de scr ibe d in ste ps 1 a nd 2 .

15 Remo ving and ins talling the d oor p anels To fac ilitate cleaning, you c an remov e the glass panel s from the oven door. Remova l 1. Detach the oven door and lay it on a cloth with the handle faci ng down. 2. Unscrew the cover at the top of the ov en door.
16 Error me ssages If an err or m essage with “ app ears, pr ess the 0 bu tto n . Then reset the c lock. If t h e error message appears ag ain, call the a fter-sa les se rvice . You c an take remedial action yourself if the foll owing error mess ages are displayed.

They absorb the heat p arti c ularly well. ■ Open the oven door as infrequently as possible wh i le you are cooking, baking or roasting.

22 G rilli n g When grilling, preheat t he oven for ap p rox. 3 minutes, before putting the food i n. Alwa ys grill with the oven door closed. As far as possible, the pieces of food you are grilling should be of eq ual thickness. This will allow them to b rown evenly and remai n succ ulent an d juic y.
23 Tips f or roastin g and gr illing Pre prepa red prod uct s Observe th e instructions on the packaging. If y ou line t he a cce ssori es wi th grease pr oof p aper , ma ke sure that the paper i s suitable for t hese temperatures. Make sure t he pa per i s a suita ble s ize for t he d ish t o be co oked.
24 Special dishes At low t emperatures, : 3D hot air is equal ly useful f or p rod uc ing cre amy y oghu rt as it is for pro vi ng l ight y e ast d o ugh . First, remove accessories, hook-in racks or t el es copic shelves from the c ooking compartment.
25 Dr ying With : 3D hot a ir, you can dry foods brilliantly. Use unblemished fruit and v eg etables only and wash t he m thoroughly. Drain off th e excess water, then dry them. Line the uni v ersal p an and the wire rack with greaseproof or parch men t pap er .
26 Acrylami de in fo odstuf fs Acryl ami de is mai nly produ ce d in grain and pot ato prod uct s prepared at high temperatures, such as potato crisps, chips, toast, bread rolls, bread or fine baked goods (biscuits, gingerbread, cookies).
27 Grillin g If you are grilling food directly on the wire rack, the universal pa n sho uld al so b e in serted at leve l 1. The li qu id is then collected, keeping t he oven cleaner.
