If ne cessa ry, pull up on t he belt a gain to remo ve any s lac k, then c hec k that th e be l t res ts ac ros s th e c en te r of your chest and o ver your shou lder. T his sp reads the f orces of a crash over t he st r ongest bone s in your upper body.
If y ou are pr egna nt , the be st w ay t o prot ec t your self a nd your unbor n child w hen driv ing or riding in a vehi cl e is to al ways wear a seat bel t, and keep the lap part of t he belt as low a s possible a cr oss t he hips.
If t hey do, they could be v er y ser iously injur ed in a crash. W hen driv ing, r emember t o sit upright a nd adjust t he sea t as f ar bac k as poss ible while a llowing f ull cont rol of t he v ehicle . W hen r iding as a f r ont passenge r, adjust t he seat as f ar bac k as po ss ib le.

For saf et y, you shoul d check the condit ion of your sea t belt s re gular ly. If a sea t belt is worn during a crash, it must be repla ce d by your deale r. A belt t ha t ha s bee n wor n during a crash may n ot pro vid e the sam e le vel of prot ec t ion in a subs equent cra sh.

In any of t hese sit uat ions, we st rongly r ecommend t ha t y ou insta ll t he child sea t dir ect ly behind t he f ront passenger’s seat, move the seat as f ar f o rward as nee ded , and l eave it unoccupied. Or , you ma y wish t o get a sma ller r ea r-f a cing ch ild sea t .
