5 SECTION 2: CONTENTS OF HARDWARE PACK Lay out the har dware accordi ng to the illu stration below for identi fication pu rposes. Part nu mbers are sh own in parenthe ses. (Hardware pack may conta in extra items whi ch are not used on your unit.) NOTE: The auger s are secured to the spiral sh aft with two shear bo lts and hex loc k nuts.
6 SECTION 3: ASSEMBLING YOUR SNOW THROWER NOTE: Refer ences to right or left side of the snow thrower ar e determined f rom behin d the unit in the operatin g positi on. The “ope rator’s p osition” i s defined as standin g directly be hind the snow throwe r, facing the handle panel.

10 SECTION 4: KNOW YOUR SNOW THROWER WARN ING: Read, understand, and follow all in structions and warnings on the machine and in this manual before operating. Shif t Lever The shif t lever is locate d in the center of the handle panel. The shift leve r may be mo ved into one of si x position s.
11 Safety Ignit ion Key The safet y ignition key must be fu lly inse rted in the switch before th e unit will star t. Remove the ign ition ke y when the snow th rower is not in use.

15 Chute Assembly The dist ance snow is thr own can be adj usted by chang ing the angle of the chute asse mbly. To do s o, stop the en gine by removi ng the ignitio n key and loosen the plastic wi ng knobs fou nd on either side of the discharg e chute.
16 Both Wheels Driving • Rotate wheel asse mbly to align hole in the hu b with the inner ho le on the axle shaft. Insert klic k pin in the ho le. Oute r axle shaf t hole sh oul d be vis ibl e. IMPORT ANT: NEVER operate th e snow throw er with the click pin inserted thro ugh both the RI M and the OUTSIDE HO LE in the axle.
17 SECTION 8: SERVICING YOUR SNOW THROWER WARN ING: Be fore servicin g, repairing, or inspecti ng, disengag e all clutch lever s and stop engine. Wait until all moving parts have co me to a complete stop.
