Getting Started Phone Setup Installing the micro-SIM Card and Batt ery Power off y our phone before installing or replacing the batt ery or micro-SIM card. Remove the back co ver as shown. Press the black spot and insert the micro-SIM card in to the card slot with the cut corner oriented as shown.
T ap the lang uage field to select the language you want to use and then tap Start . Select a W i-Fi network or tap Skip . If prompted, set the da te, time, and time zone. Then t ap Next . If you hav e a Google account or Gmail, tap Existing to sign in to your accoun t.

Phone Calls Calling from Y our Call History F rom the home screen, tap . T ap next to the number y ou want to call. Calling from a T ext Message If a text message con tains a phone number that you wan t to call, you can make the call while viewing the t ext message.
Putting a Call on Hold During a call, you can put it on hold b y tapping More Hold . Tip: If you accept an incoming call while y ou’re on another call, the first call automatically goes on hold. T ap More Swap to switch between the two callers. T urning the Speakerphone On/Off T ap Speaker during a call to turn the speak erphone on.
Contacts Y ou can add contacts on your phone and synchroniz e them with the contacts in y our Google account or other accounts that support contact syncing. T o see your contacts, t ap Contacts on the home scr een. F rom there, y ou can tap the tabs on the top to quickly swit ch to Groups , Contacts , or F avorites .
Contacts Importing C ontacts fr om microSDHC card or Expor ting to microSDHC card F rom the Cont acts screen, press Import/Expor t . Choose to import or export contacts. If you hav e more than one account set up on your phone, y ou will need to select the account to which y ou’ d like to import contacts.

Messaging T o Enable and Use T ouchPal X Curve On the T ouchPal X keyboard scr een, tap and check the box ne xt to Curve ® . Mov e your finger from letter to lett er on the keyboard to trace a word without lifting the finger until y ou reach the end of the word.
Messaging Changing Message Settings The phone’s message settings are pre-configured f or you to use immediately . T o change them, press Settings from the Messaging screen. SMS Enabled: Change your def ault SMS app from Messaging to Hangouts. Storage settings: • Delete old messages: Delete old messages as limits ar e reached.
Email Email With the Email applica tion, you can access your email from various pro viders, including Y ahoo! ® and Gmail. Creating an Email Accoun t F rom the home screen, t ap and select an email account type. Enter y our email address and password.
Connecting to the Int ernet Y our phone’s impressive networking capabilities allow you t o access the Internet or y our corporate network with ease. You can use default connection settings to connect t o the web via your mobile network (GPRS/EDGE/3G/ 4G) or Wi-Fi.
Browsing the Int ernet Connecting to a Wi-F i Network F rom the home screen, pr ess System settings Wi-Fi . The Wi-Fi network points, or “hotspots,” tha t your phone has detected are displa yed with their names and security settings. T ap a network to connect to it.

Bluetooth Bluetooth is a short-range wireless communication technology . Phones or other devices with Bluetooth capabilities can ex change information wirelessly within a dist ance of about 32 feet (10 met ers). The Bluetooth devices must be paired bef ore the communication is performed.

Sharing a Video After recor ding a video, tap the thumbnail in the corner of the screen and then tap . Scroll through options t o send via MMS messaging or Gmail, Picasa, and more. Playing Y our Videos F rom the home screen, tap Video Player . This will open y our video library and show the video files saved in your memory car d.
Playing Y our Music Y ou can play the audio files stored in your phone’s microSDHC car d in Music. F rom the home screen, t ap Music to access the music player . Select Songs/Playlists/F olders/ Albums/Artists/Genres to find the songs you want t o play .
Making Memorable Memos Sound Recorder enables you t o record your voice memos. F rom the home screen, tap Sound Recorder . T ap to star t recording. T ap to stop recording or tap OK to cancel recording. T ap to play the memo. Tip: Y ou can find your recordings b y tapping My recordings .
Kingsoft Office Creat e, view, and edit W ord documents, PowerP oint presenta tions, spreadsheets, and other types of files. F rom the home screen, tap Kingsoft Office . Tip: T ap and scroll to view options. Note F rom the home screen, tap Note to save and view your te xt notes.
Google Applications Signing in to your Google account lets y ou synchronize Gmail, Calendar , and Contacts between y our phone and the web. If you don’t have an accoun t , you can easily crea te one. T ap a Google application that needs a Google account, such as Gmail or Google+.
Google Play Store Google Play Store giv es you access to thousands of free and paid apps, games, books and magazines, music, and movies. F rom the home screen, tap Play Store . Navigating Google Play Stor e F rom Play Stor e, you will have multiple ways t o search for apps, games and more.
Google Music Y ou can access up to 20 , 000 songs from your music collection by storing them in the cloud. Y ou can als o purchase music through Google Play with this app . F rom the home screen, tap the Google f older Play Music to access Google Music.
Phone Settings Mobile Network Ser vices F rom the home screen, press System settings Mobile networks to enable or disable dat a service, allow data services when roaming, or set access point names for da ta access. Note: Da ta roaming may incur significant roaming char ges.
Managing Applications F rom the home screen, press System settings Apps to see apps installed on your phone and manage them. T ap an app in the Downloaded , On SD Card , Running , or All tabs to see its inf ormation. Y ou can stop the app, uninstall the app, clear da ta and cache, or move the app between the internal st orage and the memory card.
Protecting Y our Phone with a PIN or Password Creating a PIN or P assword F rom the home screen, pr ess System settings Security Screen lock . T ap PIN or Password . Enter a numeric PIN or an y password you like, and t ap Continue . Enter it again and tap OK t o confirm.
