Installation – Mounting Height & Clearance 6 www .zephyronline.com DUCTING A minimum of 6” round ducting must be used to maintain maximum air fl ow ef fi ciency . Always use rigid type metal ducts only . Flexible ducts could restrict air fl ow by up to 50%.
7 W ARNING FIRE HAZARD NEVER exhaust air or terminate duct work into spaces between walls, crawl spaces, ceiling, attics or garages. All exhaust must be ducted to the outside, unless using the recirculating option. Use single wall rigid Metal ductwork only .

9 Add Blockings Fasten Support Frame Install Duct Cover Fasten upper duct cover Adjust height & fasten frame 1. Add and secure blocking (minimum 2x4 studs onto ceiling joists. 2. Fasten mounting telescopic support frame directly onto ceiling joist or stud blockings.
10 www .zephyronline.com Mount hood onto support frame 6. Lift lower duct cover and hood body onto bottom of support frame. 7. Secure hood body to bottom support with (4) screws. Access the screws from inside the hood. This will require at least two people.
11 Ductless recirculation is intended for applications where an exhaust duct work is not possible to be installed. When converted, the hood functions as a recirculating hood rather than an exhaust hood. Fumes and exhaust from cooking are drawn and fi ltered by a set of optional charcoal fi lters.

Features & Controls – Metal Mesh Filter Clean Reminder 14 www .zephyronline.com Metal Filter Clean Reminder (metal mesh filter) Whether your hood is installed as an exhaust or purifying unit, a set if metal mesh filters are fitted by the factory , These metal mesh filters are intended to filter out residue from cooking.
15 SURF ACE MAINTENANCE: Clean periodically with hot soapy water and clean cotton cloth. Do not use corrosive or abrasive detergent , or steel wool/scouring pads which will scratch and damage surface.
16 www .zephyronline.com REPLACING LIGHT BULBS CAUTION: Light bulb becomes extremely hot when turned on. DO NOT touch bulb until switched off and cooled. T ouching hot bulbs could cause serious burns. Make sure all power is turned off and bulbs are not hot.
