3. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS g. Lack of sleep, tiredness, or physical exhaustion results in lower attention spans, and this in turn leads to accidents and injury. Limit the amount of time over which the hedge-trimmer is to be used continuously to somewhere around 30~40 minutes per session, and take 10~20 minutes of rest between work sessions.

If the blade touches a hard object like a stone, immediately stop the engine and check if something is wrong with the blade.

Dust clogging between the inlet port of the cooling air and cylinder fins will cause overheating of the engine.
