4 OPERA TION Bef ore using Remov e all securing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of w ater).
5 Normal Operating Sounds • Y ou ma y hear faint gurgling or b ubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/e vaporator or to the fix ed freezer shelv es.
6 Mo vable shelves The walls of the refrigerator ha ve runners so that shelves can be positioned as desired. P ositioning the door shelves T o per mit storage of f ood packages of v ar ious sizes , the door shelves can be adjusted in height. T o do this proceed as shown in the diagram.
7 • K eep the time between buying chilled f ood and placing it in your fridge as shor t as possible . T ests showed that the temperature of 1 litre of orange juice rose to 22°C in an hour between the supermar ket and home . It then took 11 hours to get down to 7°C in the refrigerator .
8 Defr osting Refrigerator The refrigerator automatically defrosts ev er y time the compressor stops. The water is discharged, via the pipe, into a tra y located at the back of the appliance abov e the compressor , where it ev aporates .
9 Remember to wash the defrost cleaner in hot soap y water at regular intervals. Dr y throughly before replacing. Freezer When the frost has reached a thickness of up to 4mm it can be remov ed using the ice scraper provided with the appliance .
