5 USING THE A PPLIANCE Oven function control knob OFF Light Conventional O ven – The heat comes from both the top and bottom elements. Top Element – The heat comes from the top element only. Bottom Element – The heat c omes from the bottom element only.
6 Before the First Use of the Cooker Before first use ensure th at the room is well ventilated , V.M.C. (M echan ic ventilation), or a window is open. Remove all packag ing both inside and outside of the cook er, before using it. Before first us e, the oven should be heated without food.
7 Conventional Ov en Cooking Chart Using the top eleme nt only This function is suitable for finis hing cooked dishes suc h as lasagne, s hepherd’s pie and cauliflower chees e. Using the bo ttom element on ly This function is particular ly useful when blind- baking pastry .
8 Using the fan oven The air inside the oven is heated by the element around the fan situated behind the back panel. T he fan circulates hot air to maintain an even temperature ins ide the oven.
9 Using the grill Grilling Turn the oven func tion control knob to either . for the inner grill only or for the dual grill. Heat comes from the top of the ov en. It is suitable for grilling meat that remains tender, for toast or to brown foods that are alr eady cooked.
10 Using Hot A ir Grilling This function us es both the grill element and the fan. Turn the func tion control k nob to the appropriate position. T o achieve optimum cooking results , it is advisable to plac e the oven shelf in the middle position while the oven tr ay should be inserted at the bottom.
11 Hints and Tips Condensation and ste am When food is heated it produces steam in the same way as a boiling k ettle. The oven vents allow some of this steam to escape. Howev er, always stan d back f rom the o ven w hen opening the oven door to allow any build up of steam or heat to releas e.
12 Using the Hob The Hob Burners The s ymbol on the knob c orresponds to a symbol on the control panel (See des cription of appliance) . Off Maximum level M inimum level Use the maximum level for boiling and the minimum for simme ring. Always choose positions between the minimum and maximum, never between maximum and off.
13 Selecting th e Correct Burner Above every knob there is a symbol f or the corres ponding burner. For good cook ing results, always choose pans which corr ectly fit to the diameter of the burner used. Choose pans with thic k, flat bases . We recommend that the flame is lowered as soon as the liquid star ts boiling.
14 To Sw itch The O ven O n and Off A utomatically 1. Ensure that the clock is showing the correct time of day. 2. Place the food in the oven. 3. Set the length of time you want the food to cook for by pressing and releasing button 2 and then pressing button 5 until the cor rect c ooking time is display ed.
15 Returning The Cooker To M anual Or To Cancel A n A utomatic Programme Once automatic c ooking is c omplete an alarm will sound and the Auto sy mbol will flash to remind you that the oven needs to be set for manual operation. 1. To do this press buttons 2 and 3 and together.
16 MAINTENA NCE AND CLEA NING The oven should be k ept cle an at all times. A build-up of fats or other foodstuffs could res ult in a fir e, especially in the grill pan. Before clean ing, ensure all co ntrol knobs are in the OFF position, a nd the appliance has coo led completely .
17 Ove n Cav ity The enamelled ov en cav ity is bes t c leaned whilst the oven is s till warm. Wipe the oven over with a s oft cloth soaked in warm soapy water after each use. From time to time it will be necessa ry to do a more thorough cleaning, using a propr ietary oven c leaner.

22 INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTA LLER SA FETY AD VICE · Before ins tallation ensure that the local distribution conditions (gas type and press ure) and the same as those s tated on the rating plate of the appliance. · This appliance must be inst alled only in a room with good ventilation.
23 ELECTRICA L CONNECTIONS Any electrical work requ ired to inst all this cooker should be car ried out by a qualified elect rician or competent person, in accordance wi th the cu rrent regulat ions. THIS COOKER M UST BE EA RTHED. The manufacturer d eclines any liability should these safety measures not be observed.
24 Supply Cable Note: Check the ratin g plate f or the value of the connected load to est ablish the f use rating. The cable supplied with the applianc e is an X type connection ( in compliance with standards EN60335-1, EN60335-2- 6 and subsequent amendments) and can be installed without the need for specialis t equipment.

26 The cooking appliance mus t be fitted with a stability chain firmly secured to the wall Ventilation The room containing the cook er should hav e an air supply in ac cordanc e with B.S. 5440: Part 2: Current Editions. The following requirements for ventilation must be met.
27 GA S CONNECTIONS Your c ooker is deliv ered adjusted for the k ind of gas stated on the rating plate If the appliance is supplied with natur al gas and the pres sure for natural gas is 20mbar.
28 GA S CONVERSION Ensure that the cook er is disc onnected from the electricity and gas supply befor e this proc edure is carried out. Your cooker is designed to work with natural, propane or butane gas.
29 · If the cooker is not equipped with thermocouples on the bur ners, ins ert a small slotted scr ewdriver into the hole on the tap shaft and turn the sc rew to the right or left until the burner flame is adjus ted to minimum. · If the cooker is equipped with thermocouples, the screw is not located in the tap shaft, but on the valve body.
