5 USING THE A PPLIANCE Before the First Use of the Cooker Before first use ensure th at the room is well ventilated , V.M.C. (M echan ic ventilation), or a window is open. Remove all packag ing both inside and outside of the cook er, before using it. Before first us e, the oven should be heated without food.
6 During use t he appliance becomes hot. Care should be taken to avoid touching heating ele ments inside the oven. Use Clean the access ories with a mild detergent. Rinse and dry car efully. Main ov en light This light will illuminate when the oven/grill knob is turned on and remains lit while the oven is in operation.
7 Using the electric ov en Fan Cooking The air inside the oven is heated by the element around the fan situated behind the back panel. T he fan circulates hot air to maintain an even temperature ins ide the oven.
8 Using the electric grill Grilling Heat comes from the top of the ov en. It is suitable for grilling meat that remains tender, for toast or to brown already c ooked. The grill pan w ill become hot during use, always use ov en glov es when removing or replacing a hot grill pan.
9 Hints and Tips Condensation and ste am When food is heated it produces steam in the same way as a boiling k ettle. The oven vents allow some of this steam to escape. Howev er, always stan d back f rom the o ven w hen opening the oven door to allow any build up of steam or heat to releas e.
10 Using the Hob The Hob Burners The s ymbol on the knob c orresponds to a symbol on the control panel (See des cription of appliance) . Off Maximum level M inimum level Use the maximum level for boiling and the minimum for simme ring. Always choose positions between the minimum and maximum, never between maximum and off.
11 Selecting th e Correct Burner Above every knob there is a symbol f or the corres ponding burner. For good cook ing results, always choose pans which corr ectly fit to the diameter of the burner used. Choose pans with thic k, flat bases . We recommend that the flame is lowered as soon as the liquid star ts boiling.
12 MAINTENA NCE AND CLEA NING The oven should be k ept cle an at all times. A build-up of fats or other foodstuffs could res ult in a fir e, especially in the grill pan. Before clean ing, ensure all co ntrol knobs are in the OFF position, a nd the appliance has coo led completely .
13 Ove n Cav ity The enamelled ov en cav ity is bes t c leaned whilst the oven is s till warm. Wipe the oven over with a s oft cloth soaked in warm soapy water after each use. From time to time it will be necessa ry to do a more thorough cleaning, using a propr ietary oven c leaner.

20 Supply Cable Note: Check the ratin g plate f or the value of the connected load to est ablish the f use rating. The cable supplied with the applianc e is an X type connection ( in compliance with standards EN60335-1, EN60335-2- 6 and subsequent amendments) and can be installed without the need for specialis t equipment.
