4 OPERA TION Before using Remov e all secur ing tapes . Wash inside the appliance with luke war m w ater and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 Normal Operating Sounds • Y ou ma y hear faint gurgling or bubb ling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/ev aporator or to the fixed freezer shelv es.
6 Mov able shelves The walls of the refrigerator hav e r unners so that the shelves can be positioned as desired . For better use of space , the front half-shelves can lie ov er the rear ones. D338 P ositioning the door shelves T o permit storage of food packages of v arious sizes, the door shelves can be adjusted in height.
7 Food Storage • T o obtain the best results from your appliance, neither hot foods nor liquids which ma y ev aporate, should be placed in the larder compar tment. • K eep the time between buying chilled food and placing it in your fridge as shor t as possible.
8 Defrosting Refrigerator The refrigerator automatically defrosts ev er y time the compressor stops. The water is discharged, via the pipe, into a tra y located at the back of the appliance abov e the compressor, where it e vaporates.
9 Remember to wash the defrost cleaner in hot soap y water at regular intervals. Dry throughly before replacing. Freezer When the frost has reached a thickness of up to 4mm it can be remov ed using the ice scraper provided with the appliance. During this operation it is not necessary to disconnect the appliance from the mains and remov e the food.

17 D724 Apply the sealing strip pushing it between the refrigerator and the adjacent cabinet. F asten the appliance with 4 screws provided in the kit included with the appliance. (I = shor t) (P = long) Make sure that a distance of 44 mm is maintained in the lower part between the kitchen furniture and the border of the appliance.
18 Place guide (Ha) on the inside par t of the furniture door , up and down as shown in the figure and mark the position of external holes. After having drilled holes, fix the guide with the screws supplied.
19 After completion of the door rev ersing operation, check that the door gask et adheres to the cabinet. If the ambient temperature is cold (i.e. in Winter), the gasket ma y not fit perfectly to the cabinet.
