3 PRE-DELIVERY SERVICE OF MOWER BY DEALER Before proceeding with the Pre-Delivery Service of your mower, please read the safety instruction s manual in its entirety. Only your authorized Wright dealer should perform the Pre-Delivery Service of the mower.
4 Turn on the blade clutch sw itch. Run blades for approximately one m inute. Next , engage and disengag e the blades a few t imes about 10 seconds apart. If the blades d o not start and stop in a few seconds e a ch time, service the b l ade brake syst em.

10 Note: Excessively worn tire tread is dangerous. Replace tire(s) with less than 3/32” o f any tread groove left. Use tires with the tread pattern recommended by Wright Mfg., Inc. only. Keep the tire pressure in the drive tires between 18 and 22 psi.

12 3 Machine De scription & Overvie w The Wright Stander is mean t to solely cut, bag or mulch grass. The use for any other purpose is not recommended. Do not disconnect any sa fety switches or remove any decals. 1. Flexible Chute Deflector 2. Rear Drive Tire 3.

14 OFF ON 3.3 Digital H our M eter The Stander is equipped w ith a digital hour meter. Refer to operating/rese t instructions below. The programming specified is: Default display: Hours Press once (TM.
15 3.6 Safet y Interl ock S ystem The Wright Stander is equipp ed with a safety interlock system. The PTO must be disengaged, brake appli ed and control levers in the neutral position in orde r to start the machine. W it h t he brake applied, the controls are locked in the neutral position.
16 4 OPER A T ING INSTRUCTIONS If you are not completely familiar with the Safety Instruction Manual read it now before proceeding with the operation of the mower. REMEMBER THERE ARE CERTAIN PRECAUTIONS LISTED IN THIS MANUAL THAT YOU MUST NOW TAKE BEFORE STARTING THE MOWER.
17 parking brake. The higher engine speed w ill make the controls much mor e responsive and the mow er much quicker; Use caution if it is you r first time.
18 Slow Hole 4.7 How to A djust Ne utral Neutral refers to the mow er movement when the engine is set to full throttle, parking brake is o ff, and the control lev ers are in the neutral position. The mow er should not move forw ard or backward during this time.
19 If the rod is made shorter it wi ll increase the forward speed capability for that side of the mower and i f the rod is made longer it wil l slow down that side of the mower.
20 5 Service and Adju stments 5.1 Tire Mai nten ance and Pr essure Excessively worn tire tread is dan gerous on all hills. Replace driv e tires with less than 3/32” of any tread groove left. Use tires with the tread pattern recommended by W right Mfg.
21 5.3 Belt Ten sion A d justme nt The pump drive belt is sel f-adjusting, and requires no adjustment, just replacement. The blade driv e belt is self-adjusting also and requires no adjus tment, just replacement. 5.3.1Repl acing the C utter De ck Belt • Stop engine and remove the key and wait for all moving parts to stop.
22 5.4 Sprin g platform Adjustme nt The factory setting is both springs set at the most forward position. The more rearward the spring position, the stiffer the platform gets. Adjustmen t will be to preference of feel. The two adjustment springs s hould at all times, be positioned nex t to each other not one forw ard or back more than the other.
23 Filling oil • Lift hinged pad and remove hex socket plug. • Using a funnel, fill tan k through oil level port until oil reaches botto m threads of the port. 5.8 How to Mo ve the Mow er if the Engine W on’t Star t Rotate both of the hydro by pass valve levers on the side of each hydraulic pump about ½ turn counterclockwise.
24 . 5.11 Batter y Ser v ic e The battery is 12 volts and is a maintenanc e free battery. Charge the battery only if it will not start the mower properly. Remove the battery from the mower before chargin g. Follow the instructions of the battery charger for proper and safe chargin g of the battery.

26 5.16 Fuel E vapo ration S ystem All W right Standers need to hav e this mandatory feature. • Do Not alter or remove. • Do Not fill past the “Max Fill Level” line shown in Figure 1. • Over-filling could result in cloggin g the roll-over vent and/or contaminating the purge canister .
