7 S Hold guide bar against the s aw frame mak - ing sure the adjust ing pin is aligned with the hole i n the bar . Remember this pin moves the bar forward and bac kward as screw is turned. I nstal l the chai n brake. S Replace the chain brak e nuts and ti ghten finger t ight.

10 S Study the natural condit ions that can cause t he tree to fall in a particu lar direc - tion. Natural c onditions that can caus e a tree to fall i n a parti cular direction include: S The wind directi on and speed. S The lean of t he tree. The l ean of a tree might not be apparent due to uneven or sloping terrain.
