6 Final Adjustments Auger C ontrol Adjustm ent Check the ad justment of th e auger con trol as foll ows: • Push for ward on the aug er contr ol until the s mall rubber bumpe r contac ts the upper ha ndle. The re should be s lack in the cable. See Figure 5 .
7 • Rechec k the adju stment and r epeat adjus tment as necessar y. • Retig hten the jam nut to secure the cable when corre ct adjustm ent is reached . NOTE: If you are unc ertain that y ou have r eached the correct adj ustment, refer to Tr action Co ntrol Adjustm ent in Adj ustment Se ction .
8 Electric C hute-Rotation Switc h The ele ctr ic chut e-rotati on switch is locate d on the left side of t he snow thr ower das h panel. See Fig ure 7. To chan ge the direc tion in w hich d ischarge d snow is thr own, proc eed as fo llo ws: • Push th e toggle s witch to the lef t to rotate the ch ute count erclockwi se.
9 • If your ho me electric al syste m is grounded, bu t a three-h ole recep tacle is no t availabl e, one shoul d be install ed by a lic ensed electr ician befo re using the el ectri c start er. • If you have a gro unded thr ee-pr ong recep tacle, proceed as follo ws: • Rotate cho ke knob to OFF pos ition and do not prime eng ine.

11 Drive Whee ls The wheel s may be adju sted for two di fferent meth ods of operati on. The adju stment is ma de by placi ng the click pins in one of two different ho les on the right s ide of the u nit.
12 Tract ion Control / Auger Control Lock The cams on the ends of the control rods which interlo ck the tractio n drive an d auger drive controls must be lubri cated at leas t once a season or every 25 hours of o peration. The cams ca n be acces sed beneat h the h andle pa nel.
13 • Drain the gasoline from the snow thro wer, or place a piece of pla stic film und er the gas ca p. • Tip th e snow thr ower up and forward so tha t it res ts on its auger housing. • Remove the six self -tapping screw s from the fr ame cove r underneath th e snow throwe r.
