5 Electrical R equirements The microwave oven is connected t o a 110-volt side of th e 240- volt circ uit r equ ired for the lower ov en. If the inc oming v oltage to the microwave oven i s less than 11 0 volts cooking time s may be longer . Have a qu alified ele ctrician check your electri cal system.
6 Grids ■ Grids wi ll become hot. Alwa ys use ov en mitts or p ot holders when han dling. ■ Never allow t he gri ds to touch the insid e cav ity wal ls, cei ling or floor . ■ Always use the tur nt able. ■ Never use another metal ob ject with the grids.
7 Displays When power is first supp lied to the appl iance, every thing on both displa ys wi ll light up for 5 se conds. Then, “ PF id = 27 ” or “P F id = 30” will appear on th e lower oven displ ay . T ouch OFF/CA NCEL to clear disp lay . Any other time “PF id = 27” or “PF id = 30 ” appears, a power failure occurred.
8 F ahrenhe it and Celsiu s The temperature is prese t at Fahrenheit, bu t can be changed to Cels ius. T o Change: T ouch and hold CUSTOM B ROIL f or 5 seco nds. A tone will sound and “C ” will appear on the displa y . Repeat to change back to Fahrenheit .
9 To U s e : Before High Speed Cooking, put food in the oven and close the door . Preheating is not neces sary . 1. T ouch SPEE D COOK. 2. T ouch the n umber pads to enter the food cod e from the chart.

13 MICROWAVE OVEN U SE A magnetron in the ov en produces microwaves which reflect off the metal floor , walls and ceiling a nd pass through the tur ntable and appropriate cookware to the food.

18 Keeping F ood W arm Hot cooked food can be kept warm in the microwave oven. Foods that are cooked cover ed and complete meals on dinner plates s hould be co vered whil e being ke pt warm. Pa stry i tems such as pi es and t urnovers s hould be u ncovered while bei ng kept warm.
19 Convection Cooking Convection Cooking uses the convection element (on some models) and th e fan. The Broil element wil l also cycle on and off. Hot air is ci r culate d throughout the oven cavity by the fan. The constant ly moving air surrou nds the food to heat the outer portio n quic kly .
