2 INST ALLA TION INSTR UCTIONS T ools and P ar ts Gather the required tools and parts before startin g installation. Read and follow the instructions provided with any tools listed here. Parts supplied: Remove parts package from dryer drum. Check that all parts were included.
3 Installation Clearances The location must be lar ge enough to allow the dryer door to open fully . Dryer Dimensions * Most installations require a minimum 5" (12.7 cm) clearance behind t he dryer for th e exhaus t vent w ith elbow. See “V enting Requirements.
4 Electrical Connection T o properly install your dryer , you must determine the type of electrical connection y ou will be using and follow the instructions provided for it her e . ■ If local codes do not permit the connection of a neutral gr ound wire to the neutral wire, see “Optional 3- wire connectio n” section.
5 Electr ical Requirements - Canada It is your responsibility ■ T o contact a qualified electri cal installer . ■ T o be sure that the electrical connection is adequate and in conformance with the Canadian Electrical Co de, C22.1-latest edition and all local codes.
6 Electr ical Connection - U.S.A. Only 1. Disconnect power . 2. Remove the hold-down screw and terminal blo ck cover . 3. Install strain relief. Style 1: Power supply cord strain r elief ■ Remove the scr ews from a ³⁄₄ " (1.9 cm ) UL listed strain relief (UL marking o n strain relief).
7 ■ Put power supply cord through the strain relief. Be sur e that the wire insulation on the power supply cord is inside the strain relief. The s train relie f should have a t ight fit with the dryer cabinet and be in a horizontal position. Do not further tighten str ain relief scr ew s at this point.
8 1. Remove center sil ver -colored terminal block scr ew . 2. Remove neut ral ground w ire from exter nal ground condu ctor scr ew . Conn ect neut ral gr ound w ire a nd the n eutral wire ( white or center wir e) of power supply cord under center , silver - colored terminal block screw .
9 3. Connect ground wire (green or ba re) of powe r supply cab le to exter nal grou nd conducto r screw . Ti ghten sc rew . 4. Place the hooked ends of the other power supply cable wires under t h e outer term inal block scr ews (hooks facin g right).
10 1. Loosen or r emove center sil ver -colored terminal block screw . 2. Place the hooked end of the neutral wir e (white or center wire) of power supply cable under the center screw of ter minal bloc k (hook f aci ng righ t). S queez e hook ed end toget her .
11 V entin g Requir ements W ARNING: T o redu ce the risk o f fire, th is drye r MU ST BE EXHA USTED OUTDOO RS. IMPOR T ANT : Observe all governing codes and ordina n ces. The dryer exhaust must not be connected into any gas vent, chimney , wall, ceiling or a concealed space o f a building.
12 ■ An exhaust hood sho uld cap th e vent to keep rodents and insects fro m entering the home. ■ Exhaust hood mus t be at least 12" (30.5 cm) f rom the ground or any object that may be in t he path of the exhaust (such as flowers, r ocks or bushes, snow line, etc.
13 Determine vent leng th and elbows needed for best drying per forma nce ■ Use the V ent system chart below to determine type of vent material and hood combinations acceptable to use. NOTE: Do not use vent runs longer than those specified in the V e nt system chart.
14 Rev er se Doo r Swing (O ption al) Y ou can change your door swing from a right-side opening to a left-side opening, if desired. Reversible Large Side-Swing Door 1. Place towel (A) on top of dryer to protect surface. 2. Open dryer door . Remove bottom screws fr om cabinet side of hinges (C).
15 Complete In stallati on 1. Check that all parts are now instal led. If there is an ex tra part, go back through the steps to see which step was skipped. 2. Check that you have all of yo ur tools. 3. Dispose of/ recycle all packaging materials. 4. Check the dryer’ s final location.

17 Exigences d’emplacement On a besoin de ■ Un emplacement avec un conduit d’évacuation à proximité. V o ir “Exigences concer nant l'évacuation”. ■ Un circuit séparé de 30 a m pères. ■ Une prise électrique avec liaison à la terre située à moins de 2 pi (61 cm) de l’un des côtés de la sécheuse.
18 ■ Il faut aussi prendre en compte l’espace requ is entre les appareils voisins. ■ Un espacemen t suppl émentaire est requis si l’ai r est évacué à l'arrière de la séch euse sur le côté gauche ou droit.

20 Le clapet incliné de type boîte ci-dessous est acceptable. ■ T erminer le conduit d'évacu ati on par un clapet de décharge pour empêcher les rongeurs et inse ct es d'entr er dans l'habitation.
21 Déterminer l'itinéraire d 'acheminement du conduit ■ Choisir l'itinéraire d'acheminement vers l'extérieur qui sera le plus direct et le plus rectiligne. ■ Planifier l 'installation pour int roduire le nombre minimal de coudes et de changements de direc tion.
22 Mise à niveau de la sécheuse Contrôler l’aplomb de la sécheus e . Contrôler l’ap lomb tout d’abord transv ersaleme nt, puis dans le sen s avan t/arrière .
23 6. V eill er à maintenir l a plaque de car ton d’espacement centrée entre les deux sections de la porte. Réassembler la section externe et la section int erne de la porte de telle manière que la poignée soit orientée du côté où les charnières viennent d’être enlevées.
