6 Door Rem o v al TOOLS NE EDED: ¹⁄₄ in. h ex-h ead so cket wr ench, ⁵⁄ ₁₆ in. hex-hea d socket wrench and a flat -head screwdriver . IMPORT AN T : Before you begin, turn the refrigerator control OFF , unplug r efrigerator or disconnect power .

8 Connect ing the Refr ige rator to a W ater Sou rce Read all directions carefully befo re you begin. IMPORT ANT : ■ If operatin g the refrigerator before inst alling the water connection , turn ice maker t o the OFF position to prevent operation without water .
9 W ate r System Prep aration Please read before using the water s ystem. Immediately after installation, follow the steps below to make sure that the water system is properly cleaned. 1. Open the freezer door and tur n off the ice maker . For Style 1 lift up the wire shut-of f arm as shown.
10 USING Y OUR REFR IGERATOR Ensuring Proper Air Cir culation In order to ensure proper temperatures, you need to permit air to flow betwee n the two sections. Cold air enters the bot tom of the freezer section and moves up. It th en enters th e refrigerator sect ion thr oug h th e top vent.
11 W ater and Ice Dispensers (on some models) Depending on your model, you may have one or mor e of the following options: the ability to select either crushed or cu bed ice, a sp ecial lig ht that tur ns on when you use t he dispens er , or a lock option to avoid acci dental dispen sing.
12 Interior W ater Filtration Syst em (on some models) The interior water filt er cartridge is located i n the upper cor ner of the fresh food compartment of the refrigerator . The interior water filter cartr idge should be r eplaced every six months or earlier if the flow of water to your water di spenser or ice maker decrease s noticeab ly .
13 T o rem ove and rep lace ice bucket: 1. Place fo ur fingers in bucket base open ing and rest thumb on the release butto n. 2. Holding the base of th e bucket with both han ds, depress the release button an d lift the bu cket up and out. It is not necessary to tu rn th e ice maker control to the OFF (right) position.
14 T o remove the shelf: NOTE: The shelf is heavy and m ust be re moved using both h ands. 1. Hold the ba ck of the shelf wit h one hand. 2. Lift the front of the sh elf with the oth er hand to a 45 ° angle and lowe r it sl ightly to re lease it fr om th e uppe r channe l of th e track.
15 T o rem ove and replace the crisper o r vegetable/meat drawer covers: 1. Remove the crisp er and meat drawer . Press up in center of crisper glass i nsert until it rises above the p lastic frame. Holding the cris per glass firmly , car efully sli de the glass insert forward to r emove.
