It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure that all users of the resistance system are adequately informed of all precautions.

5 Before beginning assembly , carefully read the following information and instructions: • Assembly requires two persons. • Place all parts in a cleared area and remove the packing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed.
75 6 2. Attach a Wheel (31) to the outside of the Base (1) with an M10 x 108mm Bolt (81), three M10 W ashers (75), and an M10 Nylon Locknut (76). Do not overtighten the Locknut; the Wheel m ust be able to turn easily . Attach the other Wheel (not shown) in the same manner .
7 8. Attach the Leg Lever Bumper (55) to the Front Leg (6) with an M4 x 19mm Screw (77). Lubricate an M10 x 68mm Bolt (56) with grease. Orient the Leg Lever (7) with the slot on the side shown. Attach the Leg Lever to the Front Leg (6) with the Bolt and an M10 Nylon Locknut (76).
8 9. Attach two 8mm Metal Spacers (97), a 60mm Metal Spacer (39), and two Bearing Wheels (46) t o one end of the Seat Carriage (12) with an M8 x 104mm Button Head Bolt (60) and an M8 Nylon L ocknut (65) as shown.
9 14. Attach the two 10-pound Short Caps (20) to the 10-pound Center Resistance Bar (44) with two M4 x 12mm Flat Head Screws (85). Using twelve M4 x 12mm Flat Head Screws (85), attach the two 10-pound.
10 19. Attach a Pulley Housing (94) to the indicated “U”- channel on the 10-pound Center Resistance Bar (44) with an M10 x 102mm Button Head Bolt (24), two Pivot Bushings (74), and an M10 Nylon Locknut (76). Wrap the Long Cable (80) over a 90mm Pulley (28).
1 1 23 80 Rod 28 71 76 11 21. Attach a Pulley Housing (94) to the indicated “U”- channel on the 10-pound Center Resistance Bar (44) with an M10 x 102mm Button Head Bolt (24), two Pivot Bushings (74), and an M10 Nylon Locknut (76). Wrap the Long Cable (80) around a 90mm Pulley (28).
12 27. Slide the four Foam Pads (26) onto the tubes on the Front Leg (6) and the Leg Lever (7). Press four 19mm Round Inner Caps (78) into the ends of the tubes. 28. Make sure that all parts have been properly tightened. The use of the remaining parts will be explained in ADJUSTMENTS, beginning on the following page.

14 4 9 80 A TT ACHING THE ACCESSORIES T o attach a Short Handle (49) to a high pulley , first attach the high pulley to the resistance system (see A TT ACHING THE HIGH PULLEYS AND LEG LEVER on page 13). Then, attach the Short Handle to the Short Cable (33) with a Cable Clip (51).
ADJUSTING THE BACKREST T he Backrest (14) can be used in a level position or one of three inclined positions. T o use the Backrest in a level position, secure the Seat Carri age (12) to the adjustment hole in the Bench Rail (5) next to the Front Leg (6) (see ADJUSTING THE SEA T on page 13).
CABLE DIAGRAM The cable diagram shows the proper routing of the Long Cable (80). Use the diagram to make sure that the Cable has been assembled correctly . If the Cable has not been correctly routed, the resistance system will not function properly and damage may occur .
17 EXERCISE GUIDELINES THE FOUR BASIC TYPES OF WORKOUTS Muscle Building T o increase the size and strength of your muscles, push them close to their maximum capacity . Y our mus- cles will continually adapt and grow as you progres- sively increase the intensity of your exercise.
Rest for a short period of time after each set. The ideal resting periods are: • Rest for three minutes after each set for a muscle building workout. • Rest for one minute after each set for a toning work- out. • Rest for 30 seconds after each set for a weight loss workout.
