The Terminal option provides a basic VT100-like terminal emulation. All I/O is prompted by user-input text strings terminated in carriage-returns.

During operation, the user may return to the home screen at any time, from any location in the menu hierarchy, by pressing the Escape ( ESC ) button repeatedly (or pressing and holding it).

Table 4.1 below lists many (but not all) of the possible alarm and warning messages that the U4600 may display.
