GETTING STARTED English 1 1 GETTING STARTED Register your Vertu phone Vertu aims to provide you with the very best service possible. To enable us to do this, pl ease register your Vertu phone by visiting www.verturegistration.com or by calli ng Vertu Concierge using the dedicated key on the side of your phone.

GETTING STARTED English 3 Inserting the battery and SIM card The SIM card and its contacts are easily damaged. Be careful when handling, inserti ng or removing the SIM card.
GETTING STARTED English 4 Using your Vertu phone To help you start using your Vertu phone as quickly as pos sible, please read the following info rmation carefully. Switching your V ertu phone on and off The battery may not be fully charged when you first re ceive your Vertu phone.

Making an emergency call > If the phone is not on, switch i t on. Some networks require that a valid SI M card is properly inserted in the phone.

GETTING STARTED English 8 Personalising your Vertu phone Go to shortcuts You can use the Go to shortcuts to bypass the main menu and give you quick access to the menu options that yo u use most often. > From the stand-by display , press the Go to SELECTION key .
GETTING STARTED English 9 Browsing the W eb You can access mobile Internet services with the Web browser on your Vertu phone. You can view pages that use wirel ess markup language (WML) or extensible hypertext markup language (XHTML).
GETTING STARTED English 10 Lap timing Lap timing enables you to measure lap times. Press the ST ART - STOP button ( CAMERA butt on or NUMBER 4 key) to start the stopwatch. To finish timing press the ST ART -STOP button again. You can save, vi ew and delete the lap times .

CALL HISTORY English 39 5 CALL HISTORY The call history feature allo ws you to view information about calls that you have missed, received and made. You can also view information (vol ume of data / se ssion duration) for packet data transfer and number of messages sent and received (both SMS and Multim edia).

GALLERY English 50 7 GALLERY You can save images, video clips , graphics, ringing tones and recordings to folders in the ga ller y, and add new folders to the one s already there. You can download i mages and tones using MMS, mobile Internet sites, or Ve rtu PC Suite.
