7 SECTION 3: ASSEMBLING YOUR STRING TRIMMER MOWER IMPORT ANT: This unit is shipped without gaso line or oil in the engine. Be cer tain to service engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the separate engine manual before op erating y our mower.

9 SECTION 5: OPERATING YOUR STRING TRIMMER MOWER WARNING: Debris thrown from the string trimmer mower can result in fo reign objects bein g thrown into the eyes, which can cause seve re eye damage. Al ways wear safety glasses includ ed with unit or eye shields w hen operating the st ring trimmer mower.
10 • Secure the handle conn ectors in position by tightening each wing nut (carriage bolts must be seated pro perly into th e handle and groo ves must line up between connectors) . Also make certain the bottom ti p of the up per hand le connec tor in fro nt of the bottom tip of low er hand le connec tor.
11 WARNING: Always stop e ngine and disconnect s park plug wire bef ore cleaning, lubricating o r doing any kind of maintenance on your string trimmer mower. Lubrication Control Lever: Lubricate the pivot points on t he control lever at least once a season with light oil.
12 Drive Belt Remov al And Replacement • Disconnect the spark plug wire and g round it against the engine . • Drain the fuel tan k or place a piece of plastic beneath the cap t o prevent gasoline leakage. • If unit is tipp ed for easier access to b elt, tip th e string trimmer mower back on it s side to keep engine spark pl ug side up.
