7 English Getting Started Connecting the Projector • P5403/N243/PN-SX12 Note: To ensure the projector works well with your comp uter, please make sure the timing of the display mode is compatible with the projector.

9 English Turning the Projector On/Off Turning On the Projector 1 Remove the len s cap. 2 Ensure that the power co rd and signal cable ar e securely connected. The Power LED will ligh t red. 3 Turn on the proje ctor by pressing (POWER) on the control p anel or remote control, and the Power indicator LED will turn blue.
10 English Turning Off the Projector 1 To turn the projector off, press the power button. This message appears: "Please press the power button again to complete the shutdown process.
11 English Adjusting the Projected Image Adjusting the Height of the Projected Image The projector is equipped with an elevator foo t for adjusting the image height. To raise the i mage: 1 Press the elevator button. 2 Raise the image to the desired hei ght angle, then release the button to lock the elevator foot into position.
12 English How to Optimize Image Size and Distance Consult the table below to find the optimal im age sizes achievable when the projector is positioned at a desired distance from the screen. • P5403/N243/PN-SX12 If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes between 75" and 98".
13 English • S5201M/T111B/PS-X11M If the projector is 3 m from the screen, good image quality is possible for image sizes around 242". Note: Remind as below figure, the space of 480 cm height is required when located at 3 m distance.
14 English How to Get a Preferred Image Size by Adjusting Distance and Zoom The table below shows how to ach ieve a desired image size b y adjusting either the position or the zoom ring. • P5403/N243/PN-SX12 To obtain an image size of 50" set the projector at a distance b etween 1.

16 English User Controls Installation Menu The installation menu provides an on screen display (OSD) for projector installation a nd ma inte nance. Use the OSD on ly when the message "No signal input" is disp layed on the screen. 1 Turn on the proje ctor by pressing (POWER) on the control p anel or remote control.
17 English Acer Empowering Technology Empowering Key Acer Empowering Key provides three Acer unique functions: "Acer eView Management", "Acer eTimer Management", "Acer eOpening Management" and "Acer ePower Management".
18 English Onscreen Display (OSD) Menus The projector has multil ingual Onscre en Display (OSD) men us that a llow you to make i mage adjustments an d change a vari ety of settings. Using the OSD menus • To open the OSD menu, press "MENU" on the control p anel or remote control.
19 English Color Display Mode There are many factory presets optimized for various types of images. • Bright: Fo r brightness optimizati on. • Presentation: For meeting presentation with higher brightness . • Standard: For common envir onment. • Video: For pla ying video i n a bright envi ronment.
20 English Note: "Saturation" and "Tint" fun ctions are not supported und er computer, or HDMI (PC) mode. Note: "HDMI Color Range" is onl y available when the input si gnal is HDMI. Color R Adjusts the red color. Color G Adjusts the green color.
21 English Image Projection • Front-Desktop: The factory default setting. • Front-Ceiling: When you select this function , the projector inverts the image for ceiling-m ounted projection . • Rear-Desktop: When you select this function, the projector reverses the image so that you can project behind a translucent screen.
22 English H. Position (Horizontal Position) • Press to move the image left. • Press to move the image right. V. Position (Vertical Position) • Press to move the image down. • Press to move the image up. Frequency Changes the projector’s refresh rate to match the frequency of your computer’s graphics card.
23 English Note: "H. Position", "V. Position", "Frequency" and " Tracking" functions are not supported under vi deo mode. Note: "Sharpness" function is not supported under com puter mode. Note: The 3D function is support ed by VGA source only.
24 English Screen Capture Use this function to customize the startup screen. To capture the image that you want to us e as the startup screen, follow the instructions below.
25 English Security Security This projector provides a usef ul sec urity function for the administrator to manage the projector. Press to change the "Security" setting. If the security function is enabled, your must enter "Administrator Password" first before changing the security setting.
26 English Administrator Password You can enter "Administrator Password" when the "Enter Administrator Password" or "Enter Password" dialogue box is displayed . • Press to change "Administrator Password". • The factory default of "Administrator Password" is "1234".
27 English Interactive Pen Setting (for S5201M/ T111B/PS-X11M) The Interactive Pen can work in place of yo ur regular computer mouse. Just hold the pen in yo ur hand, and point it at the projected image to poin t, click, and drag. It gives you more flexibility to operate your computer without standing next to it.
28 English LAN Setting (for P5403/ N243/PN -SX12) To connect your projector to the network: 1 Take a RJ45 cable and conn ect one end to the LAN input jack of the projector and the oth er end to the RJ45 port. 2 Enter the LAN Setting menu. The "Enter Administrator Password" dialogue box i s displayed.

33 English Timer Language Timer Location Sets the location of the timer on the screen. Timer Start (or Stop) Press to start or stop the timer. Timer Period (Minutes) Press to adjust the timer period. Timer Volume Select this function to ad just the notification volume when the timer function is enabled and time is up.

35 English 3 Partial, s crolling or incorrectly displayed image (For notebooks) • Press "RESYNC" on the contr ol panel or remote control. • For an incorrectly displaye d image: • Follow the steps for item 2 (above) to adjust the resolution of your computer.
36 English Problems with the Projector 9 Image is too sma ll or too large • Adjust the zoom lever on the top of the proj ector. • Move the projector closer to or further from the screen. • Press "MENU" on the control pan el or remote control.

39 English Replacing the Lamp Use a screwdriver to remove the screw(s) from the cover, and then pull out the lamp. The projector will detect the lamp life itself. It will show you a warning message "Lamp is approach ing the end of its useful life in full powe r operation.
40 English Ceiling Mount Installation If you wish to install the projector using a ce iling mount, please refer to the steps below: 1 Drill four holes into a solid, structurally sound part of the ceiling, and secure the mount base. Note: Screws are not included.
41 English 3 Use the appropriate number of screws for the projector size to attach the projector to the ceiling mount bracket. Note: It is recommended that you keep a reasonable space between the bracket and the projector to allow fo r proper heat distribution.
