User’s Guide 8 4.1. Pri mary Setup Primary Setup This screen conta ins all of the Rou ter' s basic setu p fu nctions. . Most users will be able to configure the AP Rou ter and get it working properly u sing the settings on this scre en. Some In ternet Service Providers (ISPs) will require tha t you enter AP Router W ireless 802.

User’s Guide 11 -WPA -Preshared k ey There are two en cryption options for W PA Pre-Sha red Key, TKIP and AES. TKIP stands for Temporal Key Inte grity Protocol. T KIP utilizes a stronger encryption method and incorporates Message Integrity Code (MIC) t o provide protection against hackers.
User’s Guide 12 -WPA RA DI US W PA RADIUS uses an external RA DIUS server to perform user authentication. T o use W PA RADIUS, enter the IP ad dress of the RADIUS server, t he RADIUS Po rt (default is 1812) and the sha red secret f rom t he RADIUS se rver.

User’s Guide 18 4.4. DHCP Server The DHCP Serv er screen allow s you to configure t he settings fo r the Ro uter' s Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) ser ver function. The Router can be u sed as a DHCP se rver f or your network. A DHCP server automatically assigns an IP address to ea ch computer on your network.

Static DNS 1-3: T he Dom ain Name Syste m (DNS) is how the Internet translates domain or website names into Internet addresses or URLs.

W hen Ena ble this f unctio n, two new option s will show up. Depend on the filtering prop ose, it ca n be se lected to Prevent or Permit .
