8 Using the DataSt ation as an external USB hard drive Ensure that the DataStation is tu rned o ff. Connect your Data S tation via the in clude d USB 3.0 cable to a co mputer. I n activity, th e HDD status LED l ights up white (USB 2 .0 connectio n) or blu e (USB 3 .

• To sta rt the p rogram , please conf irm the appear ing window with "Y ES " . • After a short t ime the name of your DataStat ion appears with an IP addre ss , assign ed by y our rou ter for t he L AN conne ction . Further more, w i th activ e and connected Wi - Fi , the IP a ddres s of t he DataStation is also displa yed .
12 " My P ocke t A ir " Web Management 12.1 Explorer F un c tion “My Po cketAi r” allows you to upload or down load file s to your PC, Mac, Tablet or Smartp hone. Y ou can even create, co py, cu t, dele te and rename f olders and f ile names - just as known from your PC or Mac .
12.3 S ettin gs The defa ult s ettings can be c han ged here. Plea se note tha t in corr ect ent ries may lead to mal function of DataStat ion . In this case you have to load default se ttings (Cha pter 12.3.5. 4). 12.3.1 Use r Clic k th e “U SER ” thumbnail.
Channel : The defau lt settin g is " AUTO " . There are 13 channel s avai lable to be sel ected . Passwo r d: Here yo u can create a new pass word for yo ur wirel ess co nnect ion (defau lt 111 11111) . Use minimum 8 to maxi mum 63 charac ters .
Selectin g Wirele ss Access SSID: Type - in t he SSID na me or click the “S CAN ” button to au tomatically search for the avail able w irele ss netw orks . To v iew it, cl ick t he arrow icon i n the SS ID ent ry fi eld. The avail able Wi - Fi con nectio ns are d isplay ed.
12.3.5 Sys tem 12.3.5.1 Time Settings The time o f the d evic e can be set au tomatica lly , over th e inte rnet u sing NTP (Netw ork Time P rotoc ol) s erver o r by hand setti ng. Dep endin g on the locat ion, select the tim e zone f rom the d rop - d own list .
12.3.6 Wi zard Using th e wizard y ou can easily and conven iently ma ke the necessa ry setti ngs. Simply follow the in struct ions fo r Int ernet ac cess, W i - Fi sett ing s and u ser sett ings. After t hat "My Pocket Air" restarts and you can log in with the new setti ngs .

13.2 Th e PocketAi r m en u In the low er part o f the me nu, yo u can sw itch betw een the DataStation "M Y P OCKET A IR " and you r mobile d evice "M Y D EVICE " . Tap the 3 - point i con to view stat us infor mation in ot her sub - menus at your fingert ips.
13.2.1 The " My P ocket A ir " m en u This men u shows the app functions for operatin g and managing the files on your DataStation . It also shows the fold er fo r the f iles on y our Da taStatio n. Th e pres entatio n can be differ ent depe nding o n th e model, manuf actur er and o peratin g sy stem .

Home Tap on the "H OME "- button to retu rn to th e Home sc reen . View You can se lect b etween i con and list view. Back Tap "B ACK " if you are i n a fold er or su bmenu t o be back aga in one level higher .
