Basic Requi r emen ts P lace your extender in a well - ventilate d place far from direct sunlight, any heat er or heating v ent . L eave at least 2 i nches (5cm) space aro und the dev ice for heat di ssi pati on . Turn off y our extender and unplug the power a dapter in a lightin g storm to avoid da mage .

3) Select y our router's 2. 4GHz hos t networ k and enter the password, then click Next . 4) Select y our router's 5GHz host networ k and enter th e passwor d, then cl ick Next . If your rou ter does not support 5GHz wireless network, please click Skip to conti nue.
5) Either keep the s ame SSIDs as your host networ k or create new names for the ex tende d netw orks, then c lick Next . 6) Verify y our wireless set tings and c lick Finish . The c orrespo nding LEDs (2.4G Hz and 5GHz) shoul d turn on and st ay solid.
5 Relocate Plug the exte nder into an electrica l outlet about half way betw een your router (Host N etwor k) and the W i - Fi dead zone. W ait until the LED is lit wit h a solid b lue. If not , relocat e the ext ender closer to t he router to achi eve a good (or bet ter) sig nal quality .
