8 Introduction Structure of disc contents Normally , D VD video discs are divided into titles, and the titles are sub-divided into chapters. VIDEO CDs/audio CDs are divided into trac ks. Each title, chapter , or track is assigned a n umber , which is called “ title number ” , “ chapter n umber ” or “ trac k number ” respectively .
9 Introduction DIGITAL VIDEO Notes on region numbers The region number of this player is 1. Region numbers, corresponding to specific geographical playback area, are printed on your DVD video disc. If you do not find 1 or ALL , disc playback will not be allowed by the play er.

15 Introduction While pushing the holder in direction 1 , simultaneously slide it out in direction 2 . Place a coin-shaped battery (CR2025) with the side up on the holder . K eep the holder horizontal so that the battery does not f all through. Push the holder back into its receptacle.

21 Basic playback About the screen saver If you pause a picture of a DVD video disc and leave it still f or approximately 20 minutes , the screen sav er of the pla yer automatically appears (when “ Screen Sav er ” is set to “ On ” 51 ). T o tur n off the screen sav er , press any b utton on the main unit or remote control.
