Explanation When an ori ginal containin g photo im ages or gradational images is printed, the output im age sometimes looks light and blurred.

e-STUDIO281c/351c/451c 1.4 T o Minimize V ariations in the Imag e Quality under th e Operating Conditions (T o optimall y program image quality control) Before the adjustment Af ter the adjustment The image contrast varies, de pending on the date and time when copyin g or printing is performe d or the type o f job.
e-STUDIO281c/351c/451c Explanation The image con trast may vary , depending on the date and time whe n copying or printi ng is perform ed or the type of copy/print job. T o constantly maintain i mage quality , shor ten the waiting period until image qu ality control is performed.
e-STUDIO281c/351c/451c A very small number of copies are output (approx. one copy per hour): Use steps (a) to (b) and perform the adjustment of image quality control. (a) Change the value for 08-571 within the range from "1" to "3" to reduce the waiting period until image quality control is performed.

e-STUDIO281c/351c/451c 2.2 T o Closely Match with the Color Balance of the Original Before the adjustment Af ter the adjustment The copy image looks yellowish, com pared with the original. The color balance of the copy im age is closely matched with that of the original.

e-STUDIO281c/351c/451c 2.3 T o Improve the Reproducibility of Gray Before the adjustment Af ter the adjustment Another c olor (M) is bl ended in the gray area. No undesired c o lor is bl ended. A clear copy image is obtained. Explanation When an original containing gray is c opied, another color may be blended in the gray area.

The copy image is obtained in vivid colors. Explanation When a copy i s made without any a djustments, vi vidness may be missing on the copy image.

Therefore, no clear c ontrast is m ade between the ba ckground and text. The background color is eliminated, allowing clear contrast between the background and t ext.

Explanation When a photo image is copied, the c ontours or edges of the im age sometimes become highl y visible on the copy .
