9 Getting started What is a SIM card ? Every mobile phone has a SIM card (Subscriber Identity Modul e). This is a micro-chip that ho lds your personal information such as names and phone numbers. Your phone won’ t work without it. If you already have contacts o n your SIM card, they can be transferred in most cases.
10 Getting started Insert the battery as follows: 1. Insert the battery by aligning the gold contacts in the battery compartment on the phone. 2. Push down on the upper section o f the battery until it 'clicks' into plac e. 3. Close the battery compartm ent by sli ding th e cover closed until you hear a ‘click’.
11 Getting started The lithium battery of th e mobile phone can be immediately used after unpacking. A new battery, is not fully charged, and performs best after performing a full charge/discharge 3 times: 1. Plug the charger into the charger connector.
12 Getting started card can be used. You can make an emergency call only. Note: If you enter an incorrect PIN-code 3 times in succession, the phone will require you to e nter the PUK - code. You received this PUK-code together with your SIM card. Keypad lock: The keypad lock prevents k eys from being pressed accidentally.

15 Getting started Direction Key (down)- (O nly on S210) In Standby mode, e nables you to enter the Bluetooth men u screen. Soft key ‘right’ In Standby mode, e nables you to enter the Contacts screen. Soft key ‘ left ’ In Standby mode, e nables you to enter the Message menu scr een.
16 Call function Make a call: 1. To make a call, enter the phone number with the prefix and press the gr een key . For international calls, enter ‘ +’ by pressing for 2 sec. Then enter the country code followed by the telephone number, i n which the 0 of th e prefix must be dropped.
17 Call function Answering a call: When there i s an i ncoming call, the pho ne rings and/or vibrates and shows th e number or th e corresponding name . 1. Press the green key or Answer if you would like to answer a call. 2. Press the red key or Re ject if you would like to reject a call, or for ending the connection after the call.

20 Contacts Search: 1. Choose Search in the Phonebook. 2. Key in the first character(s) of the name you ar e looking for and press Search . 3. If you press Option you can use the following options: Call, Send SMS, Send MM S, View, Edit, Delete and Copy .
21 Contacts Delete: Yo u can choo se the following optio ns: From SIM: Delete all the names stored in SIM card From p hone : Delete all the nam es stored in the phone storage One By One: Delete the selecte d names one by one. Memory status: Displays the amount of SIM and phone numbers you have saved.
22 Call logs Missed, Dialed and Received: The phone registers the phone numb ers of Missed , Dialed and Received calls. When you press OK by Missed, Dialed or Received , you can v iew the calls you Missed, Dialed or Received.
23 Call logs You can choose the following options: Last call cost: Allows you to check the cost of the last call. Total cost: Allows yo u to ch eck the co st of all calls. Reset cost: Allows you to reset the call cost. Max. cost: Enter PIN2 and input a limitation of the Max Cost.
24 Messages You can receive and send Messages: SMS and on the S210 also MMS . Here you can al so choose V oice Mail and B roadcast . These services are web- based services. Please contact your network operator before using. SMS Inbox: The Inbox i s f or storing received SMS m essages.
25 Messages Use the following functions to edit the text: To add a space, press 0. To add a punctuation m ark or special character, press 1. To move the cursor left or right, press the up and down arrow key. To delete th e character to t he left of the cursor, press Clear .
26 Messages Outbox: The Outbox is for storing sent SMS messages. You can choose th e following options while reading your sent SMS: Send, Edit, D elete, Copy to phone*, Move to phone*, Delete all, Copy all, Move all and Use number . *T hese options may not ap pear according to the s torage location.
27 Messages The number can be obtained from the network operator. Memory status: Displays the percentage of memory space used in the SIM card and phone memory. Preferred storage: Select SIM or Phone to store messages on the SIM card or Phone memory. Preferred connection: Select the way of connection you prefer.
28 Messages Inbox: The Inbox is for storing received MM S messages. Depending on the selected mode, the phone vibrates or rings when you receive a new message.
29 Messages Templates: By Templates you can view the MMS templates yo u have saved. You can choose the following options by Templates : View, Write message, Delete, Delete all and Properties . MMS settings: Here you can edit your MMS message settings.
30 Messages MMS account (Only on S210) GSM data: This setting allows y ou to change the settings for the GSM Data network. You can choose the following options b y an y Account : Account name: Here you can edit the Account name . Number: Enter here the server phone number.
31 Messages APN: E nter h ere the acc ess point nam e used for the address of the GPRS network gateway. User name: Enter here the User name required to connect to GPRS network. Password: Enter here the Password require d to connect to GPRS network. Auth.
32 Messages Broadcast: Broadcast messages are messages that your network operator b roadcasts to all users within a particular area, such as weather forecast and transportation conditions. The new br oadcast message covers th e old one if they are from the same channel.
33 Settings Sound & Alert: You can choose the following optio ns: Tone setup: Here you can set your: Inc oming c all, Alarm, Message tone and Keypad tone. Volume: Here you can set your volume of Ringtone and Key tone. Ring Type: Select here yo ur Ring type : Single, Repeat or Ascending .
34 Settings In standby mode: Press the down arrow key to go directly to Bluetooth. You can choose the following optio ns: Power: Here you can choose to t urn Bluetooth On or Off . Inquiry audio device: Se arch f or available Bluetooth audio devices. If Bluetooth is not enabled yo u can enable it no w b y pressing Yes .
35 Settings Settings: Here you can set your: Visibility, Change device name, Authentication, Audio path and Block list. About: Here you can check the Device name, Device add ress and Supported services , o f your Bluetooth device. Note: You cannot use Blueto oth and Camera at the same time.
36 Settings Call barring: With this network service you can restrict the making and receiving of calls with your phone. Block list: To block incoming calls you have edit in the blacklist.
37 Organizer To Do: You can schedule and org anizer things s uch as appointments and meetings in To do . To add a new task: 1. Choose Add in t he Task list . If there’s alr eady a task choose Option and Add . 2. Choose New task . 3. Here you can enter your Ne w Task .
38 Organizer If the alarm sounds for one minute, the alarm w ill stop and sound again after about five minutes. Calculator: The phone is provided with a calculator. This calculator has l imited accuracy and rounding errors may occur, especially in long divisions.
39 SOS The S OS fu nction is a s imple function which can save liv es at the deciding moment. In all, yo u can save 5 SOS numbers (relatives, neighbours, friends and rescue). These nu mbers, previously saved i n order of sequence , w ill be automaticall y dialed in an SOS by pressing the SOS button on the back of the mobile phone.
40 SOS if the SOS call is n ot an swered, t he S200/S210 will send a SOS SMS to this person (in cas e mobile number or t elephones with SMS function is available for emergency contact ). If you are called within an hour of the start of the SOS call function, t he telephone automatically takes each incoming call.
41 SOS Attention: If you want to save SOS numbers such as the ambulance servic e, the police, fire brigade etc. as an SOS number, you m ust gain permiss ion from each of thes e institutions beforeha nd. There will be no liability for possible costs arising from calling th em by accident .
42 Camera (O nly on S210) In the standby mode press the camera key, on the right side of the phone, for 2 seco nds to activate the camera. Take a picture: Aim the camera lens at the place/object, and press the up arrow key, to take a picture. Keep the camera lens steady for a while for a better imag e quality.
43 Camera (Only on S210) Image settings: Here you can adjust the i mage size. Scene mode: Here you can choose between: Auto or Night . Restore default: Restore the default settings. Note: All the photos are stored on the Micro SD card. S o please install t his card if you want to take and save pictures.
44 FAQ If your phone appears t he questions frequently, please refer to the answers as follows. After that, you cannot s olve the questions, please contact with the mobile phone dealers or network operator . Can’t turn the phone on: Check b attery installation, please install batte ry correctly.
45 FAQ Bad talking quality: Weak signal? See: Weak signal or no signal. Check if battery if batter y is low. Charge the battery or change the battery. Use the up volume key to ad just the m icrophone volume during a call. Can’t make a call: Check if yo u enter the c orrect number and pr ess green key .
46 FAQ P IN locked: Check if entered incorrect PIN code 3 times in a row. 47 Battery Your phone is powered b y a rechar geable battery. Note that a new battery's ful l performance is achieved only after two or three complete charge and d ischarge cycles! The battery can b e charged and discharged hundreds of times b ut i t will eventually wear out.
48 Battery Leaving the battery in h ot or cold places, such as in a closed car in summer or winter condi tions, will reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. Always try t o keep the b attery between 15°C and 25°C. A phone with a hot or cold battery may temporarily not work, even when the battery is fully charged.
